...are the business, well I want to replace my old 1990 legacy sw with a newer one soon. Have been looking at a really nice blue 99GTB Twin Turbo, Tiptronic, half leather interior all the guff, BUT are they reliable enough to use as a daily, I don't intend on thrashing it, would also get serviced well. I dont mind forking out a regular servicing bill, but dont want to be stranded by the side of the road all the time when something breaks.

Any thoughts. BTW I need the length of the SW to handle big artworks and windsurf gear in the car as well as on the roof Any other segestions on similar models would be appreciated.

What's the windsurfing like in NZ btw?

i've had one for 13 months and its been bullitproof, just buy some shares in an oil company cos 220-240 miles per tank is all your get!

Windsurfing is amazing clear blue water generally warm most of the year around in Auckland, some amazing spots, plenty of island hopping, flat water blasting or bump and jump its all here. From home I am only 10min to the beach before I can plug and play. There are some really good wave sailing spots around NZ as well.

No worries mate will do Seems about right though for the usage I mean any high performance engine will chew more gas.

only simular cars i could think of would be a misubushi VR4 estate thingy. Which are also nice.

If I were to go down the route of buying one with tiptronic with the paddles? Are they very good, I mean instant changing of gears or does it take a bit longer and a bit clonky sounding. Are these a std feature on the 1999+ GTB's? I had go in a Formula racing car and I just love that tiptronic gear change. Thought I gotta have that!

myns a 98 manual(new shape) and i've never driven a tiptronic so i can't really help you, but the manual is excellent , buy a manual!

I like autos for if I get stuck in traffic jams which can be daily if travelling through the city, thats the only reason. I use my Esprit on the weekends for a good gear thrash session.

Hi well I have taken the plunge and getting a car imported out from Japan. My partner has a friend in the car sales industry who goes to Japan to buy all his own cars and going at the end of the month. So he has me down on his list. He rekons there should be no worries finding a minter as well. So hopefully will get if before the start of the ski season yipeee
