This looks nice, but am surprised that the silver paint is listed as being Individual.

I see you mean this - first pic

It doesn't lo Silver to me. More of a grey or maybe with a slight beige hue to it.

Looks a touch Aspensilber Metallic, but BMW 490 paint code leads to frozen beige, frozen black etc...

Can't be that easy to sell given the price of fuel of late. frown

Looking good ATM. How's it running?

I recently replaced the PCVs + connecting hose on the N62 (X5).

Started off trying to clean it (as it seemed the rubber was in ok condition) but was a mare. Plus parts weren't silly money.

All good. Feels unstoppable in a good way. I have a slight misfire or uneven idle. Clears up with some throttle. Its a bit annoying when crawling with zero throttle because it lurches a bit as the idle goes up and then down. Otherwise only gripe is the clunk from the front suspension. My big box of new Meyle HD suspension arms still sat in the house. Not sure I can be bothered tackling that job.

I did these on mine. I also removed one of the breather hoses to check it was not blocked and it fell apart. Replaced with new BMW part.

Finally decided to fit these as they have been sitting around for over 6 months now. I'm now half way through the job and a bit stuck. The nuts on the ball joints don't want to budge - there are 4 of them. I can get them turning but this isn't loosening them as the threaded shaft is also spinning in sympathy. So I'm now thinking about a nut splitter or some form of power tool to butcher them off rather than elegantly spinning them off the thread.

I won't lie it was hard work. All 4 ball joint nuts needed grinding off. Bearing in mind I don't have a grinder. My mate turned up today with his power tools snd we got it done.

Reset the journey comp while already doing 70mph on cruise. My best ever. Previous best was 26. I pumped tyres to 40psi before I left and brimmed the tank with Tesco 99. After 50 or 60 miles the car was still showing a range of 440 miles. After all my grumbling about 50p per mile for fuel the car decided to surprise me. Maybe new ball joints and bushes improve efficiency.
