Rx8?
If I hadn't already thrown so much money at my compact I would be very interested in yours but can't make the numbers work frown
Got it in one smile

Think I should win the car!
What dictates the change out of interest? Admittedly I have never driven one but always find them about the same pace on track as the compact.

Fancy a change to be honest and always fancied having a rotary (brother used to own an RX7). I spotted an RX8 advertised locally that ticks all the boxes (rebuilt engine, nice colour, and an owner who has looked after it), and at the moment I am not doing enough miles to worry about fuel consumption. I went for a test drive today and was smitten.

Good luck with it!

I replaced the Yaw sensor in my car today. Now DSC is all back to normal. The heat seemed to affect it.

Does anyone have a set of standard rear springs they want to get rid off?
I have a set in the garage in pretty good condition. Let me know if you want them, I am in Bristol but am happy to post them.
Still willing to get rid of these now? Seeing as your getting rid of the motor?

I just waved goodbye to my car. It is off to have an S54, roll cage, and Nitrons fitted by its new owner. Sad to see it go but happy that it is going to be taken to its logical conclusion smile

Will be on eBay as of tomorrow.
No need to sell, but fancy a change as it's very similar inside to my M3 and fancy a bit of variety in the fleet.
I expect the usual eBay result of being messed around so will probably be kept however!

Well just go and get one then!

I let my nephew drive mine, and a month or so later I was on the hunt for one for him which ended successfully - OK it was an SE in Sapphire Black with Cream leather, but with sunroof and a 6-speed as it was a facelift.

But at least all 325ti Compacts have Sport seats and suspension!

Does anyone know the part number for the throttle intake boot ? Its a two part thing, but the ETK only seem to show the part that connects to the MAF unit and doesn't list the second part that actually sits on the throttle body with a small hose that connects to the idle valve.
I did the CCV at the weekend and the small hose to the idle valve is split.

Many thanks

Look back 3 or 4 pages, I did this and asked the same question I think.

My silver 90k 325ti m sport (purchased from a fellow appreciator in this thread) will be up for sale in the next couple of months unfortunately.

Finally gave in to the mrs by getting a 5 door car for the 3 month old baby + associated clobber. Will probably stick it up in the classifieds at some point.

Was sitting around bored at work so decided to chuck the compact on the weighbridge.

Bit heavier than I thought, however good weight distribution across the axels.

This was with no driver and a full tank of fuel.

When I first saw this I'll be honest I thought "Nah, that can't be right", but it is! I put my car on our weigh pads at work this morning and it came out at 1442.5kg, fully standard with a full tank of fuel and no driver. The corner weights looked a bit odd because I did it in the car park rather than move anything in the workshop, but its pretty close to 50:50 across the axles. Mine is a Sport with a sunroof (which accounts for 30+kg of that weight apparently).

No wonder my E36 328i Touring (1432kg by the same measure) feels so spritely by comparison - its marginally lighter and much torquier!

The Autocar test car wasn't a Sport, had half a tank and was on the lighter 16s - that came in at just over 1400kg so yours sounds about right with bigger alloys/tyres and greater fuel load. ( 20kg more for a full tank over half tank )
My 328iSE on 16s was 1420kg with half a tank

Both considerably lighter than my old 330i though - that was over 100kg more and with the longer gearing didn't feel any quicker up to 3 figure speeds. My ti does sound the best of all 3 though ( all on standard exhausts )

I agree. My 328ci feels more lethargic and less willing to rev than the ti. Longer gearing to blame along with a restrictive inlet.

The coupe is bloody quiet though! No nice, deep cold idle.

The latest non working part seems to be the oil level sensor. Replacements are rather expensive at a dealer, but eBay offers cheap stuff from the land of China at £10 or so. Waste of time or actually liable to last a good few years ?

Cheap ones don't work. BMW ones are made by Hella. You can code the cluster to not have an oil level sensor with PA Soft software and cable.
