BL is a reading registration. I had a Golf GTi with a plate ending in that years ago.

Above is a useful page to see where cars come from. Both pre and post 2001. smile

Another track day faultlessly completed in mine the other week.

Got black flagged fot this which I thought was a bit harsh!

It's eating front brakes at an alarming rate. however so maybe looking at a Csl setup in the near future.

What front brakes do you run now?

Standard size all round with DOT 4 fluid

First set gen BMW

2nd set with mtec drilled grooved and Mintex pads

Current set mtec C hook discs and carbon performance friction pads.

Rears are lasting much longer, still on second set grooved and drilled with mintex pads.

Was lapping Mallory in 56secs in the morning, had dropped off to over a minute by the afternoon due to brake fade.

I used to get brake fade on my 328, I don't get any on my 330 (larger brakes). I think the 325ti probably has the same size as the 328.
330 brakes may be a cheaper upgrade than the M3 ones. I know someone on the Readers Cars thread has recently changed his 330 brakes for Porsche ones so may have a set for sale. I don't do track days any more as I'm too old now!

An oversteer moment would be my guess - they don't seem to appreciate that! laugh

Good luck!

Hopefully straightforward. You have a decent spring compressor?

I fitted HSD to the Soarer. Rock hard even on the softest setting, but transformed the handling. Difficult part of changing was getting the old drop links off. Luckily I had been forewarned and had a new set, so just cut them off.

Indeed.
I Was a bit keen on my corner entry speed outbraking the clio, therefore had to 'slide' round the hair pin and naturally kept my foot in all the way round.

Was black flagged in and told to change my 'aggressive' driving style, also if I was seen driving in such a manor again I would be Sent home.

Careful not to snap the bottom pinch bolt, it's a world of pain if you do.

Good tip. Lots of Plus Gas helps, an impact gun is also useful.

If you do it's £25 each for new hubs. Speed sensor included. I felt the pain installing Konis on my coupe.

All went on fine but fiddly adjusting all the rings etc.

I set the fronts to maximum height and the rear spring platforms to halfway and it rides like a 4x4. Going to drop the rears all the way down, see how it is then possibly remove the platforms. The fronts I'll just wind in another 20-30mm and see what happens.

Did it have the non painted boot handle before or after she bought it? I'd be tempted to whip that off and rattle can it.
