To me! Thats the one I mentioned about going to view earlier biggrin

I picked it up last night so only owned it 24 hours or so but I'm enjoying it! It's a credit to your mate, very tidy, impressive for a 15 year old car. It was nice to view a car and it be honestly described too!

Brilliant!

There is just something about them.....!

Mine got a free wash and brush-up on Thursday when the driver's airbag was replaced under recall - well worth checking if yours is eligible.

Going to view a black 325ti sport tomorrow. Not my first colour of choice however the mileage is low and the condition is good for a price i cannot pass up. Other than VANOS rattle, rear wiper, springs, cooling fan and the cooling system is there anything else i should pay particular attention to?

Many thanks.

Rusty front wings. If you see any bubble or blister, its too late as they rust from the inside out and the inside lip will be rotten.

Good luck. thumbup

My nephew had a Sapphire Black facelift SE with cream leather and sunroof until he became a Dad! laugh

It might be worth checking the MOT history for advisories for corroded brake pipes, and if the heater fan seems to run at erratic speeds you might need a new "hedgehog" resistor - not a big problem but by all accounts it is a pain to get at and can cause battery drain issues.

Hopefully tomorrow you'll be an owner too!

Nearside and offside brake pipes "slightly corroded" from front to rear as an advisory. Not a big issue i hope.
Other than a small dent on the r/h side of the car which i hope can be smart repaired and a the left hand side of the front bumper missing a clip holding it up it is pretty clean! No signs of impact on the bumper, should just be an easy zip-tie jobbie.

If anyone is looking at a black 325ti sport in Doncaster, give it a pass. Little rust on rear r/h arch, rust hole inside the wheel well. Corroded top mounts for the suspension coils, sizeable dent on r/h arch and trim held on with bathroom sealant. Scratched to high hell.
Patchy service history too..

Definitely not an "excellent condition" example as advertised. Will not budge on price either.

Brilliant! Hope you enjoy it! Not sure if you use the E46 Compact UK Facebook page, but it was a regular on there, and you're more than welcome to keep that going!

I have a great condition '02 Sport, in sapphire black. I've made a few small tweaks (lowered on H&R Sport, aftermarket alloys, sticky Dunlops, rear wiper delete, loads of poly bushes, etc.) and it's a lovely car. I'm looking at moving on in the future (next couple months maybe?) to a Z so if anyone is looking for a well looked after compact with low mileage (only just over 88k) and two previous owners, I might have the one you're looking for. It won't be going for pennies though...

It sounds like you have done some great mods, if only yours was a facelift I may have been tempted. But I have an Imola Red 52 plate Sport on 100K miles so that wouldn't really make much sense for me!

But you should enjoy a Z - my toy is a Z4 Coupe. laugh Fun on a bigger scale!

Hugo, this sounds interesting. I am in no rush to buy so can happily wait till it comes available. Maybe drop me a PM when you find the Z of your dreams?

I think that is the seller? Posted 2 months ago and the ad states he's owned it for 2 months. Maybe try contacting him in the comments.

Another viewing of a 325ti sport in "outstanding condition", decent in pictures. Left disappointed.

Great - you'll love the engine!

Hope you find one you like, and if you haven't already "z4forum" is well worth joining. thumbup

I'm enjoying mine so far, goes better than I expected and the sound is just fantastic! It drives lovely, just cruising about town & to work it's an effortless drive, you can almost leave it in 5th everywhere and use the torque. I did give it a little bit of stick yesterday, seems to go round corners well too, might need some bushes to tighten things up a little but it's certainly got potential.

I've taken the 325ti off the back & done a bit of a DIY screen chip repair, short term it needs very little, might even get a half day on a track if I can. If I decide to keep it long term I'll spend a bit sorting it out.

It's a shame, they're at 'that' age where they just get run into the ground, before some delusional idiot decides to sell it. There is nothing more frustrating than traveling to view a car and arriving to see a turd sat there. I was lucky, my one was seemingly advertised honestly and in reasonable nick.

I think it's the same as anything else where people can afford to buy one but then don't necessarily have the means or motivation to look after them right. They seem to be relatively rare as it is, so nice ones even moreso.

I'd like to try one at some point so please do all look after them!
