I think it's been discussed on here before, but is my memory correct in thinking 330 front brakes are a bolt on with the calipers, brackets, pads and disc ? Are the hoses different ?
Thanks
You’ll generally need 17 “ wheels as well
Only a couple of 16” designs will clear

Did the cam cover gasket today. Easy job to remove, but found the gasket had set hard like a brittle plastic that shattered everywhere. The gaskets around the spark plug holes was in there solid and to very carefully chisel it all out and took 30 mins to remove.

I found this job weirdly satisfying on my E39. I had the same issue though as the rubber was like plastic and you had to be careful not to loose bits inside the engine!

Finally got around to doing my rear discs, pads&handbrake shoes. Hand brake will require a bit of fiddling for a while until i'm happy with it.
Brakes still feel crap compared to another e46 with same discs/pads all around. Possibly brake bleed required? frown

Ah, I nearly bought that about the time you did.

Only 1 other white sunroof manual left that I know of as the other white one was written off a while back

OH, and how do you find the part numbers for the springs, as they don't seem to show up in any online ETK.

Car is a 2004 with the M Sports package II S338A

Yes!

It works and this is because it needed a ballast.

Lights are bright as you like now.
Glad you sorted this. I always assumed it was the igniter because I always got it to work easily and once it lit it never went out.

Apparently the part number for the springs depends on what options the car has fitted? confused

Spot on, dealers look up springs from the spring table by entering the cars options.

What’s wrong with the exhaust?
The local exhaust place told me the front silencer needs replacing - the car is very loud. Thinking about it, I may jack it up myself and have a poke around - wonder if it could be blowing from a gasket or something.
Just had it up on the lift. The flange connecting the manifolds to the front silencer is badly corroded, it's effectively disintegrated. The question is, if we replace the front silencer with an ebay part will there be enough on the manifold to bolt onto and we can't tell at the moment without taking it apart. MOT runs out in November so got a few weeks to think of the options and weigh up the cost/benefit. I'd probably invest in a Schmiedmann manifold if the car was worth more - don't really want to break it since it's a good car.

Sorry to read that. frown

I hope you can get it fixed - as you say it's too good to break. thumbup

There are plenty of decent second hand exhaust parts, they are probably better than aftermarket new parts.

That sucks, hope the car isn't as rusty/crusty as the previous owner reports in other 325ti / e46 / e90 treads.
