I am going to be looking at improving the handling/responses of mine once it comes off it's winter tyres in the spring. My car is bone stock at the moment, on about 60,000 miles. Interested to know what you guys would recommend/prioritise? Cheers!
Probably replace all bushings and put a strut bar in.
Thats about it I think?
+1 on the front Brace - they feel a bit ‘tighter’ with one on

What summer tyre set up do you run? If it’s a Sport staggered set up try a square set up for a different handling feel/response - may feel more neutral balance

Thanks guys. Running a staggered setup at the moment, may give a square a try. Cleaned up nicely today (gratuitous I know!)...

Nice photo. thumbup

Sadly I don't really care for those wheels or for SE fog-lights, but given the mileage that may be a price worth paying. laugh

Enjoy - they are great cars!

Hi, looking for a little advice on my 325ti (sport) please.

One of the rear springs has snapped, so it needs replacing - I've read that all e46 compacts came with sports suspension, but when I look at parts websites they list two options for this car. Can anyone confirm please? Also if you can suggest a good website for OEM quality springs that would be appreciated.

Or, if there's an aftermarket alternative for a reasonable price then I would consider this too.

Thanks in advance.

The UK 325tis definitely all had the Sport suspension (and seats).

I'm just wondering if you are getting quoted 2 part numbers because they were different for pre- and post- facelift models - in the same random way that the tailgate struts were!

Have you tried the site below giorgio, and then rang the dealers with the relevant
part numbers? It's sometimes suprising how competitive the dealers prices can be.

A set of Eibach springs is a good buy.

Here's my 325ti in silver grey with black leather.

Have to be honest im still not 100% on its looks but the immaculate condition (last owner 14 yrs) and the low miles (currently 56k) sold it for me.

Does anyone else's compact groan like a constipated chewbacca from cold on startup?

Secondary Air Pump? Mine doesn't have one but some may do.

My friend's father owned it and was going to pass onto him but he wanted something newer so i was offered it

It really is one of a kind condition wise, pictures don't do it justice.

Mine started doing this a few months and is gradually getting worse. I suspect its one of my fuel pumps (I run one on each side to prevent starvation on track). Will report back when I eventually get around to changing them.

A very rare white 325ti has surfaced on ebay, sadly its being broken following a moderate front end collision.
There really can't be many left after 1 was crashed and 2 being broken, one from here

This looks good, I think: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bmw-325ti-compact-sport...

Not sure how relevant the wheels 'being refurbished last year' is when they are now curbed to death!
