Certainly looks like the correct pattern cloth for an E46... I know the E30 and E36 came with some fairly gaudy interiors but thought that they dropped them by the late 90s!! Though early E46s were available in a mid metallic green (sea green??) so perhaps it was a (seldom chosen...) option

The car is Silver
I have to say it is growing on me, but certainly black or dark blue is the norm

I suspect it was a short lived and seldom specced colour. I say short lived as the 328 wasn't part of the range for long. I have an E46 brochure from 2001 (which I've just looked at) and the 328 is gone and been replaced by the 330. The green cloth is not in the upholstery section.

Could be a random bmw individual option? I kind of like it, bit different.

realoem has 'mint green'' as a cloth interior option, so it was a standard option I think. But as mentioned above, probably delisted quite quickly due to lack of demand!

It's growing on me too, like mould. It's certainly rare.

The 'individual' scheme made for some horrendous interior options. Saw this in AutoTrader a few months ago...

That can't be the original material surely. It looks like it's been trimmed with the bed spread from my gran's spare room.

I did stick the VIN through a decoder, and it did show that it was an individual model. Couldn't get any other information apart from that. It looks horrendous though, but each to their own...

I don't think it works with the blue, and I'm not sure the wood trim sits well that close to the door panels, since they're not quite the same colour. But with a black car, and dark door panels, I think those seats would look great.

I've got the same (I think?) light-coloured wood trim in my E46, and after being initially indifferent I've come to really like it. I wouldn't have thought a similar hue would necessarily work on seats, but I'm convinced now!

In a strange turn of events, I ended up buying this thing from Alan. Awaiting delivery of it as it has no MOT, but the interior looks much better in the flesh. Quite like the Green and silver combo. Here's a couple more pictures of the interior.

And one of the exterior... With standard E46 rust and needing a bloody good clean... And the bonnet not shut properly
