Hi all,

Thought I would venture into here as the Morgan section is rather quiet!
I have a Morgan Aero 8 which has the 4.4l M62 V8, 286bhp/330lb ft approx.

I would like to take it to a BMW specialist to have it rolling roaded and custom remapped to get the best performance out of it, but I am very careful when it comes to tuning as many "reputable" companies are often not as good as they can first seem in my experience..

As I have no idea where to start I was hoping to find some recommendations on a real BMW expert/perfectionist who can tune this engine.
I am near Bedfordshire if that makes any difference!

Thanks!

Given that it's a normally-arpirated engine, you're unlikely to see massive gains simply be remapping - you may get another 30bhp/40Nm but any more will probably require more significant mods.

If you are in that part of the world Evolve in Luton had a good reputation for mapping work on BMWs, from the mild to wild (custom mapping for modified engines). Probably worth a call & discussion.

Thanks guys, yes I know the figures won't set the world on fire but I would happily take that sort of power increase along with better driveability (the standard map has a few "odd" quirks!).

Are you certain the "odd quirks" are common to all cars and not specifically to yours? A remap may not cure the "quirk" if it's being caused by something else.
