Interesting new issue to add to the fix-list, wonder if anyone can help...

'04 330Ci coupé and the one-touch isn't working for closing on the driver's side. Usually the first click on the switch is manual, the second goes one-touch. Recently the first notch does nothing, the second functions as manual close.

I've done the window reset (down, hold 10-15 sec, up, hold for 10-15) and it's still not working. Every once in a while, it will work and go up on one-touch only to then 'bounce back' - it's like the anti-trap is triggered most of the time. The window isn't slow (not so much that I've noticed it) but I do have some faint line scoring in the glass on the outside, possibly from grit or similar. The drop when opening the door works. I've cleaned and polished the glass to see whether that helps, I've also Gummi Pflege'd the rubber surrounds. I'm not sure what else I can really do - does anyone have any suggestions or am I looking at taking the door apart...?

Where in the country are you?

I can have a scan with INPA if you wish. I'm based in Warwick.

Thanks for the offer but I'm on the Sussex coast. I could buy myself a USB-to-OBD cable and investigate but I would be concerned I'd have no clue what I was doing with INPA...!

Would my hand held code reader provide any useful info or is it just for engine faults?

Edit: also tested the global close from the key and it's not working. Works for open but not close.
