E91 Straight Six Bearding

You have to look at the ads where people don't know what they're selling! (At least in terms of us E91 nerds. To anyone else they're just E90 wheels, mate).

Some pretty serious kerb action there. Will keep an eye on them.

Had the car scanned again today as it is going into limp mode occasionally. Apparently the car believes there is a fault with the exhaust cam sensor and possibly the vanos boost pressure something or other. My guy at work recommended doing the exhaust cam sensor first and then see what happens. Anyone tackled this?
Also the car complains about the battery regularly. Is this a simple swap out or does it need coding to the car like some of these crazy stop start cars need these days?
I would replace the VANOS solenoids. They are well known for causing sluggish cam response and flagging issues such as cam sensors. Also the car complains about the battery regularly. It is a 15min easy diy.

I did some bearding earlier on 162s and 193s. Seems that 193s are pretty much the lightest alloy that was fitted to the E90s. A good couple of kilos less than the 162s, and also the 19" alloys fitted to the M3.
Always fancied them as winter wheels meself
Ahem, my 219's are lighter. And genuinely, when we switched from 193s and runflats to 219s and proper tyres, the improvement in ride quality was marked. And the dish on them. Always fancied them as winter wheels meself

The 219s are a wider rim tho. So the 8.5 193 rear vs 8.5 219 fr compares favourably at 11.93 vs 11.7 respectively. Ever so slightly lighter therefore.

If you would be kind enough to post up the number I'd really appreciate it and get right on it
16124390434If you look at this thread [ http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=817... ], the first post is a DIY if you have to drop the tank the change the breather pipe. The last couple of photos in the first post show you the breather pipe and what it looks like with the protective tube! Just drop the arch line to see.
Edit: Better set of photos here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=414...
RE: Wheels. I'd quite like some BBS CH-R's for mine, I do like Y spoke rims. The classic Alpina Rims I think look good on an SE but don't quite suit an M Sport (and not mine with the obvious scorpion exhaust!). And those BMW Motorsport rims for the E90 I quite like too (style 216?).
Quite happy with my style 188s in 17" for the moment - but in a bit of a hurry with tyres when I discovered I'd bought a car with a cracked 193s!

Given the age and mileage your car is at – worth you checking to see if you have the “modified fuel breather pipe”. Well known issue for early E9x is that the fuel breather pipe would chafe against the inner wheel well, until it made a hole. Then whenever you brim the tank, fuel would leak out of the hole.
Ours is even earlier (November 2005), and to my knowledge its never had this fix - unless it happened in the first 3 years of its life before we owned it. On the other hand after 13 years and 90k miles, I'm pretty sure its not leaking either (I always fill the tank). I'll ask the garage to have a look next time it's serviced.ATM said:
I have a set of BBS CH which were on the 550i but took them off to try these OZ from my V8 E46. They will fit an E90/E91 with say 265 35 and 235 40. I also have a couple of sets of nearly new 265 35 Mich P4 too. I really should rationalise down my junk in storage.

Just lost 30 mins of my life figuring out where my old images had gone to. Anyway I actually prefer the original CH to the CH-r because on the CH you have the recessed MOTORSPORT - which we really need right. On the CH-R its just a sticker or painted on. These were powder coated and its lasted well. Maybe they should make an appearance on the E91, soon.BBS CH 015
