The Holy Grail - 330i M Sport N52 Manual with leather and nav (albeit a leggy 2005 car)

Really nice, but I think the holy grail would be:
LCI E91 335i Manual M Sport with Pro Nav, HK sound and xenon.

If such a thing even exists, it should be found and treasured!

I'm actually quite liking the auto box in the 335i as it seems to hold onto gears at lower revs where the 550i always changes down. I know there isn't a dct option on the touring but I'm wandering if anyone has tried the dct in a coupe and how it compares.

Possibly - I was referring to the conversation earlier in the thread about cars with this particular spec being rare though.

I think leggy is probably the right word, look at the state of that gearknob and the back of the seats/console!

This was mine. Logic 7, adaptive xenons, piano black individual trim. No nav mind you.

And I feel partly responsible for Chris starting this epic thread, as he bought my 'interim' 330i. A car I had for a short while between 335i's.

You should get one. Mine was only a 325i in lowly SE spec but it was still a brilliant all rounder. I'm itching to get another but too tight for the fuel bills doing 15k a year.

Yes, it's a bit dog eared! Looks like it's had a fair bit spent on brakes and shocks in the last couple of years, according to the MOT, so may actually drive ok. It might just need a few hundred quid tidying it up.

Well now, that is interesting.

EBay Item 162790139303 if the link doesn't work.

330i, manual with high spec and my preferred interior (light leather).

This is nuts. I've never seen so many.

Take your pick:

White with brown/wood.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-330i-M-SPORT-TOURIN...

Grey with black

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-08-BMW-3-SERIES-3-...

And the one posted above, black with cream:

Well, any shouty ALL_CAPS trader ad is pretty fishy for a start, and...
"IT WAS BUILT IN 2005 BUT ONLY REGISTERED ON THE ROAD IN 2007 DUE TO BEING DEMO CAR."
...makes no sense at all.

Demo cars do not get used as demonstrators for two years, and they are registered.

Correct as this is the law I believe unless it is not being used on roads. With it being white I would suspect police use maybe but this doesnt explain the missing years.

I managed 2 hours of motorway yesterday without drama and then managed to get beached outside the house. Then I came in and had a brew and did some googling. Tried again with all the electronic gizmos completely off and was successful. The winter tyres are not completely fool proof if the car creates a big ridge of snow. Not until you start rocking it and giving it plenty of revs. Once I found out how to turn everything off I've been unstoppable.

Ah, I hadn't gone through the detailed description.

Could the car be used internally by BMW as a display car of some description? Odd wheel and colour choice perhaps if so.

Police wouldn't be top spec.

I left Kettlewell yesterday at about 1615 yesterday, was back home in Colchester before 2030. Seems the Snow we were expecting in North Yorkshire didn't materialise and was dumped in Essex. Summer tyres (new) kindof coped on the local roads covered in snow - DTC engaged and a bit of gentle throttle feathering (unless messing about) and all was fine!
Then the car got a bit stuck on the drive as all the snow I'd spun up into the wheel wells fell of and turned into giant ice wheel chocks!

The off road stuff I was doing on the mountain bike on the other hand was absolute sheet ice - got quite good at riding on that too

Ditch the HK for Individual Sound, Foldout Towbar and maybe individual paint/interior and you've got a winner.
