That white one is fishy. And looks terrible in white.
Fishy how?
Dates of registration as said. And are those wheels correct? They look like the 17" m-sports from the 320d. I do like the interior though.

The wheels look wrong to me, I think the gearknob is wrong too.

Questionable! hehe most things on the engine will have been replaced by now and at that mileage though. I really like that for sure. cool

I think the earliest na was the most solid. If you want twin turbo fun you gotta pony up and expect more potential problems and bills. Price is good considering how rare these are and its a reputable dealer.

Yes I think I remember reading the pre-LCI na 6 was the most reliable. Even the four pots are pretty unreliable apparently.

Wow, well there is a really, really rare car. Nice spec!

Reliability is OK on them now, as said the dodgy bits are likely to have been addressed and it had made it this far already. At that mileage it may be more the suspension and drivetrain that is worn.

E91 2009 LCI 325d SE ex BMW management car with about £5k extra icluding Nav, Auto, 18" full heated leather but no sport seats---------------------------------------------------------------
Until Now

Fitted this today like for like replacement passenger Sport seat has base tillt and bolster width adjustment.(not sure if working)

Drivers seat may have to wait until new year.
Looks as if door cards and back seat are the same as existing so no need to change. Just need to work out how to swap map pocket from SE seat onto sport seat.

My mate has the big blue brakes on his m135i and needs new discs and pads. Any recommendations on where to buy new discs for these?

Are OEM Brembo? If so, whoever is cheapest for the right part number disc. Pads depends on whether he wants an upgrade or if the standards are good enough.

On Autotrader there's a manual 330i SE saloon with 1 owner, FSH and 24k miles. It's a late N52.

Price? Eleven grand! I know that's an awful lot for a ten-year-old 3-series, but I've been slightly tempted to get it as a keeper. As they say, 'find another'...

Would I be mad?

IMO yes. It's an SE and it's not like the engine is ruined at high mileages. That money would be better spent on refreshing suspension etc on another example.

Yeah that is far too much for an old 3 series. It won't be a collectable or greatly sought after down the line, not like an M3 or even an E36 328i. For that kind of money you are well into LCI models which are generally more desirable.

If you want a keeper and have 11k, how about a Z4 Coupe 3.0si?

Yep, thinking about it, it's not a good idea. Although I don't really see why in years to come it'll be any less sought-after than an E36 328i when they are both 25+ years old.

Re Z4 - I like them, but I want a back seat. Also fancy a 130i.

I think so, yes. I can see how a nice six pot E9X could be a keeper but if all of the perceived value is in the low mileage then you can't use it.

You could get a perfectly usable nice one for half the spend.

Can't see many E9X variants being appreciating assets.

Yes, I think you would if you plan to use it much.

If you would only use it for less than average mileage it may be worth it though.

As for an E9* being an appreciating asset, I'd say a good one will but you'll need to keep it some time!

After all, 20 years ago who would have said an E36 would be an appreciating asset? But they are now! laugh

Worth asking BMW the cost for OE ones - Cotswold BMW (Phil Ennis) always seems to give me reasonable prices for parts from them (although I have spent a small fortune with them in the last year!)

Or buy something seriously interesting like a nice E39 if you need a saloon.
