Anyone else's N52 smell quite rich on startup?
As I park in front of the garage, I've noticed it ends up stinking in there if I've had the car running in front of it, even with the door shut.
Yes mine did that, stunk half my street of super unleaded when starting up.As I park in front of the garage, I've noticed it ends up stinking in there if I've had the car running in front of it, even with the door shut.

Yes mines the same, smells quite ripe when I'm defrosting it in the morning. Doesn't seem to last particularly long tho, smell is often gone by the time the windscreen is clear. In my quest for springs, I've not got an order with Autodoc for the Sachs springs, and also via Sach's own Amazon store. The latter was showing them as out of stock but let me order so we'll see which turns up first!
Bizarre that they are unavailable though. Well, apart from BMW obvs.
Interestingly, it seems that both the Sachs and Bilstein B3 offerings for the MSport chassis Auto 330i cover two different BMW part numbers - 377 and 378 with codes D5 and D6 respectively. I've not been able to find out anything further regarding the difference between D5 and D6. So I'm just hoping that as OEM supplier the fact that the Sachs spring is listed for the 2 BMW codes isn't an issue.

Nice, but that was originally an LMB example. The sonderlackierung plate is what makes it!JakeT said:

It’s a N52 325i manual on around 135k.

Odd one really as when i picked it up it was in what id call typical e91 condition and hadn’t been treated as a ‘special’ car by any of its previous owners and can’t find any mention of it online anywhere.
Slowing doing bits and bobs to bring it up to a nicer standard (£350 on a PDR guy alone as it had so many small dents!)
But ultimately would need a full paint for me to be happy with it but assuming it’s a unicorn probably worth while.

I’m sure a first owner cherished it, especially to spend the money having it painted in a special colour. Nice you’re sorting it now, though. What interior has it got?Odd one really as when i picked it up it was in what id call typical e91 condition and hadn t been treated as a special car by any of its previous owners and can t find any mention of it online anywhere.
