They were mehel or meyel hd, oem so fingers crossed!
AFAIK I think either Lemforder or Febi Bilstein are OEM in this application.

Going by what Helix402 has said as well as others it seems Meyle stuff, even the HD items have become questionable in quality. Certainly, the HD rear top mounts will fail prematurely due to a design flaw.

It seems either finding the true OEM source is the way forward or going to BMW short of going poly.

I'll be honest. My friend's 328i on Meyle Lollipops was OK after 12k of use but it did improve quite a bit with PowerFlex items.

But I'll be honest, it's not the first time I have seen it happen. 10k out of upper arms on an Alfa 147 anyone?

You could be right, I’ll get checking this weekend! I toyed with the power flex type before but was put off by the possibility of a rough ride, how true this is I’m not sure, some people love them other have said the hate them!

IMHO it is all down to the quality of the material. In most cases like car parts, you get what you pay for with Poly bushes.

I tend to use SuperPro/SuperFlex for this very reason.

Both my MX-5 and my Spitfire were on cheapo bushes ; the ride was strange ; the MX-5 however was on Gaz coilovers, abeit on 14" wheels and the Spitfire was on Spax dampers. My MGB was on SuperFlex ; even on 8Jx15" wheels the ride was the best it had even been in my ownership, and that was compared to standard as well. A far cry from what a number of owners told me.

Likewise, one of the best classics I have ever driven is a Triumph 2.5PI Mk1 with the SF/SP combo. On 15" wheels and lowered springs with Chris Witor dampers (KYB Gas-A-Justs) the ride was about the best I've been in with an old Triumph saloon smile.

If the lolypops go on my M3 it will either be BMW or SuperPro I suspect.

That said, incorrect fitment can kill the lollypops as well ; i,e sharp edges left on the arm from bashing the old bush off.

Right just had a look at the clunking, it’s the bush in the wishbone that joins to the right wheel (not the lollipop ones) not sure what they are called as every search just takes me to lollipop diy’s

What do you guys think is the best option, I could remove the wishbone, press out the old bush and pres in a new one or replace the whole thing?

Like I said earlie it’s a 2002 car with 190k on the clock so I’m tempted to do both sides?!

I have a pair of drop links as well because I had an advisory on the MOT, so should I get the other link arm as well, is a wavey shape, and replace the whole lot?

Bushes are not replaceable on their own unless you have a Meyle arm.

Maybe that’s why I haven’t seen the correct bush anywhere?

Looks like a complete wishbone Replacement is on the cards!

Anyone know the best place to buy these? Eurocar parts are over £120 each for cheapies!

Carparts4less sell the same parts as Euros for less money. I fitted a Febi Bilstein arm recently which was good quality. Lemforder are not as good quality as they used to be, Meyle are also not that good.

Gen BMW are best but not cheap.
