Love the debadged!!

Is the spare tyre the one which raises the boot floor a few inches?
How are you finding that to live with?

And what about fuel consumption? Day to day, having fun, motorway, etc.?

Yes. The space saver wheels raises the boot a bit. Hopefully picture below explains. Without the spare, the boot is flat. But boot still fine for me and like having a spare as will be ditching run flats soon!

I’ve only done 700 miles so far, so hard to judge mpg. My commute to work - 10 miles in traffic getting about 25 mpg, on longer run with clear roads, getting 34 mpg. I’m not a high mileage driver, so knew mpg wouldn’t be great!

Heading down to Lake District tomorrow, so will get a better feel for mpg....as long as I can keep keeping it out of sport! Which is hard.....

Came out of 330d xdrive with ACS springs. This is a step up in all areas!

Let me know if you need to know anything else. Are you thinking of getting one?

I'm currently in a 340i touring and doing man maths smile

I haven't driven the X40i yet, just the 30d, and that was very impressive. A real step up from the F25 X3 and from my F31.
My 340 is under warranty until Sept 19 but i have a feeling i'll be trading it for one of these between now and then.
Thanks for sharing your real world experience, would be great to know more once you've had a bit more time with it thumbup

Small thread update - my order is going in on Tuesday.
Phytonic, 20's, debadged smile

Apparently from July there's a small drop in power (EU emissions regs) but it'll gain the M Performance diff. Hoping to take delivery in September.
So begins the long wait...

Do these come with the M Performance Exhaust as standard?

Effectively yes, though they sound even better than the 140/240 with MPE. Similar to the 340i MPPSK.

Thought so, heard one start up over the weekend. Sounded very similar to my 435i with exhaust.

A nice ride/handling balance and some steering feel.
Such virtues for a modern BMW hehe

You’d have thought all models would enjoy these virtues, with the M-lites being truly amazing, rather than just not ‘not good’

But it’s still interesting. I did a quick price/spec up on broker4cars...

Unfortunately I don’t think I could stomach £25,000 down the drain in 3yrs... and I doubt many will have decent spec to buy AUC as they’ll be mostly financed frown

Tempted to go try one to see if they really are *that* good though.

Did anyone test one on both rft and normal tyres before making a choice?

Many congratulations! You will love it. I hope the wait isn’t too long! I’ve had mine nearly 3 months now. Loving it!!!! The engine is getting better and better as it’s brojen in. The exhaust sound is just fantastic!!!

I’ve still to see another one on the road!

I got the car with RFT all ready to change to non RFTs. However, still not got round to it - but finding them fine still far. May be because I have adaptive suspension, 20 inch wheels and acoustic glass.

I know it's the 'old model' but I've actually kept the 20" RFTs on my 35d as the adaptive suspension is a perfect match for it.

I test drove an M Sport on 20” wheels and RFT tyres and the ride was a huge improvement on the current X3. So much so I didn’t opt for the adaptive (but I seem to be in a minority that prefers the passive suspension plus it’s my wife’s car and she won’t ever change any settings!)

The ride on the 30d demo I had was very impressive, that was on passive suspension and 21” rft’s.
Way better than my adaptive 340i on 19” non-rft or 18” rft, and way better than my previous F11 535i on 19” rft - both on ride comfort and noise.
