Hi all,

Recently moved back into the BMW family with a purchase of an e92 LCI 330d.

First port of call was to find a local BMW independant specialist to get it booked in for a ‘major’ service. I was quoted £350 for an oil change, air & fuel filters and brake fluid.

Does this seem about right for my engine?

Cheers!

350£ seems a lot.

Depends where you are? Looks about right checking against the company I use in Surrey.

Sounds like a fair price.

That's where mine always go! But in other parts of the country you can get things done cheaper because the overheads are lower.

If your vehicle qualifies for the 'Value Service' package (3+ years) then don't forget to check BMW-UK's online prices first.
https://www.bmw-service.co.uk/value_service (you'll need to enter your own vehicle reg and mileage to get all the prices relevant to you)

Then go to your local BMW main dealership website and check their prices (not necessarily the same as BMW-UK). That's what I did last year, and it worked out cheaper than my indie, plus you get 'that stamp' in the book.
