Recieved my official BMW recall notice today regarding the air con plug lead thing that needs replacement. Just need to wait now for garage to get my car booked in for the work. It’s been inspected and I have been advised that it’s safe to use car.

As per other posters,I received a recall letter this morning. It stated that unless I was seeing any of the warning signs,I should wait to be contacted further due to parts issues.
I’m happy to wait and have some warranty work done at the same time.

I got my letter from BMW this morning. (Car is an 06 plate 325i).

They say the problem is the regulator for the blower on the heating & air-conditioning that is the problem. They say you can reduce the risk by not running the A/C blower at maximum speed - in this weather? rolleyes

My A/C is constantly set on auto, works hard for a few minutes and drops off to idle (sounds like me when I was at work) hehe

Had both recalls done on my E91 - battery cable and heater. Took them about 3 hours combined I was told. They had the car for the day and I got a loan car albeit loan cars were back ordered for 4 weeks so I had to wait a while.

I've not had the letter but my car was done last week as it was in for a warranty repair and the dealer system showed up the recall. There were 2 electrical recalls logged against my wifes car and they are being done on Wednesday this week but no recall letter received. If you are concerned have a word with your dealership.

You don’t have to wait for anything. Just call them up and they’ll book it in.

I took my car into them almost a month ago, they inspected and told me they are waiting for the parts and will call me to book the car in when they have those parts. They also advised the car was safe to drive. Time is dragging on, maybe I will chase them up.

You're in the same place as most others then I think. Last I was told, a couple of weeks ago, the production spec final version isn't available. I guess when it is the letters will go out, probably priority given to those who had to have a temporary wiring solution put in place.

Bmw are contacting customers of effected vehicles in batches, this is to try control amount of flow into the Dealers and have enough parts. Unfortunately with press coverage and people panicking to get their cars in before being notified it has not helped the already stretched situation.

Had both 'Initial Notice' recall letters dated 06th and 27th June from BMW UK but still waiting to be notified when to contact local BMW dealer for the mods. Guess it'll get done when the car goes in for its annual oil change in December!

No contact from BMW at all on this , but DVLA advised the recall with the new MOT just last week, so called the dealer and it’s booked in for next week for the heater blower connection fix, BMW Park Lane Battersea are my local, I’ve used them for the last 16 years on newer cars, but this’ll be their first attempt on a 55 plate E91 325i which hasn’t seen a BMW dealership since 2012. It’ll be interesting to see if they report any other issues whilst doing this
