X3 - iDrive from MPH to KPH

I'm off to France in a couple of weeks camping and we're taking the X3 (2017 model) with the pro-nav and HUD.

Does anyone know if there is any way to change the HUD display from MPH to KPH using the iDrive? Is this even possible?

I spent about 20 minutes the other day trying to figure it out and couldn't find anything at all. Any help would be appreciated as this would be hugely helpful on French roads given their clampdown on speeding.

It certainly is on the X5 so assume the same for X3. iF I recall you go into I drive settings and change units from MPH to KPH. You can also change the headlights by selecting vehicles driving on the right

I would also assume that was in the idrive settings but I can't for the life of me figure out where it is. I also wondered that about the headlights too so will look for that. Thanks.

I'll keep looking - you'd think something so simple would be easy to find.

Couldn't see anything - then again mine doesn't have HUD

If it’s the F25 I don’t think you can

Is it not in settings and then units? That's where it is in my 2009 CiC iDrive.

Maybe the car will change it by itself when you are in France, using GPS data?

That’s where it is for the trip/journey computer

Ah, I assumed it would all be the same if there was no obvious HUD option.

Settings - language and units - digital speedo - then select KPH. changes the HUD/Dash display.
