G29 Z4 - anyone else ordering?

I quite like the look of the new Z4 and have been waiting for it to launch for a while, so am thinking I'll probably be looking to order. Is anyone else on here tempted? The still doesn't seem to be much information on pricing or actual UK on sale date.

I would definitely be after the M40i as owned a M135i a few years back and loved that car. Have got myself on the 'Interest register' for the First Edition but with only 45 coming to the UK I imagine they'll be popular!

Yeah that's exactly my frustration, seems to be barely any useful information at all! It's taken bloody ages just for them to reveal some pictures

I'm afraid I think I think it looks ghastly !

The E89 (2009 - 2018) shape evolution is by far the nicest which looks superb roof up or roof down.

This one draws on the awkward blockiness of the original Z4 which wasn't the best looking either.

I have an E86 Z4 at present.

If budget ever allows I'd only consider the Toyota version as it will have a proper roof!

I wasn't too sure about the launch pics, but that grey one on the OP looks much better, think I will wait to see one in the flesh before making my mind up.

I would think about one, but I like my sportscars with a manual box.

It does like a return to form for the Z4.

Hatches, saloons, no problem with an auto for me.

I think we’ll be looking at one to replace the wife’s 350SLK. She had a E89 before that and preferred the BMW to the Merc in some ways.

It’ll depend on what happens with Brexit, the price etc. Personally, I’d rather not buy another German car, she might have to have an F Type.........

Looks like they'll be Auto only, but not necessarily a bad thing as the ZF8 is such a talented 'box! A little more information has appeared on https://www.bmw.co.uk/bmw-cars/z4 this week although still no price/ ordering info.

I've been told by my local dealer that everything should go official imminently. Order books open October for November production then March delivery

Am going for this spec when they eventually let me!

I’m not convinced by it. Something looks awkward around the headlights...
I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve seen one first hand but so far I see nothing to make me consider swapping my E89 35i for one.

That’s about the same for me.

When they produced that show car, with the buttresses, I thought “that’s the next car for me”. I went straight down my local dealer to register interest.

Now I’m not convinced at all.
