Evening all,

Just canvassing opinion on what you guys would expect for a discount (%age) off an unregistered one of these.

Even an actual comparison if someone has bought one recently.

List is £79k.

I know G05 is orderable already - but not picky if the right F15 deal was on the table.

Two years ago I got 22% off my 50d, not sure if that is still achievable but it’s a starting point I guess.

I had the advantage I was able to use the coast2coast quote as a negotiating tool and at the time had two dealers fighting for my business.

It will be interesting to see how you get on.

If you get one, they’re a great machine and the engine is perfectly suited to the car.

With the G05 already in production and about to appear in showrooms, I would think a dealer would be quite 'keen' to shift a new unregistered F15 M50d from his books......so I think you could be looking at a nice deal, especially given as HoHoHo says, they were offering very good incentive deals on these a couple of years back.

Would you consider a low miles pre-registered car? I got over 17% off a high spec pre-registered 340i last year that was 3 months old and delivered with just 60 miles on the clock (and 54 of those were due it being driven from one dealer to another)

Looking at current AUC stock there seems to be a few high spec dealer cars (usually the newer ones with MOA on the mileage amount) that look to be around 20-25% off list price;

They look quite good value however be aware a number claim to be 'high specification' and they're not!

My car has for example:

LED super duper lights
Fully active cruise
Sunroof
Comfort seats
Keyless opening etc
Heated steering wheel
HUD
Full cameras all round
Wireless charging

Plus a few others I can't remember and that's a high specification, not just simply the digital dash! (which is a waste of time BTW)

Indeed.

A quick scan through the add's and the ones that claim to be high spec are anything but.....most of them are little more than standard spec (which of course isn't to say they are poverty spec) but, high spec they are not.

Quite a few are well specced, I looked at the full detail sheets before posting earlier. For example the black one in Warrington at £54k looks very good value, obviously dependant on final mileage -

21" 599M Double-spoke light alloy wheels
Panoramic glass sunroof
Sun protection glass
Digital Cockpit
Fine Brushed Aluminium interior trim
Heated front seats
Seat heating. rear
Third-row seating
Steering wheel heating
Cold weather package
M Sport Plus package
harman kardon loudspeaker system
Head-up Display
High-beam Assistant
Speed limit display
Surround-view

I very nearly took the plunge on an RS6 Performance at the weekend but would seriously consider one of these, its just the old head versus heart argument that seems to swing more towards the head as I get older!

Dealers make me laugh......

They've already listed the 3 items that comprise the Cold Weather Pack, so why bother stating the CWP laugh

To be fair that’s a good spec but most aren’t like that.

I’ve pretty much got all of that but within different packages, all good toys yes

Personally if it were an RS6 or 50d........

RS6 wins every time.

Thanks for all the responses so far smile

Allure of new is that it is on 0% and minimal deposit if needed. Even those on Auc are looking at £6/700 ish upwards per month plus 8k down.

Spec on the new one is CWP + MSport plus, panoramic, 7 seats,21” wheels so reasonably decent.

I’m currently sitting at 15% discount, but to the points about - that takes it barely below sticker price for a new G05 - all be it a 40i.

Bought a 40d a few months ago...

Smidge under 15% with 0%. Managed to negotiate on some accessories too (£500 bike rack).

Started with the 30d and it was a no brainer to get the 40d, hardly any extra. But the M50d then jumped up a bit more and after looking at them decided that the 40d was the sweet spot for us.

Plenty quick. For a while I considered an X5M (but never drove one), but having done 6k in the 40d I can honestly say that I wouldn’t want it to be any quicker. Whilst the straight line shove of a M50d or X5M wouldn’t hurt, it’s a huge car that you really have to hustle around and work the brakes hard.
Any quicker and you’ll just spend all day on the brakes and ultimately spend more cash on tyres and brakes!!

Great cars though, you’ll be pleased even if you ended up with a 30d.

Pretty much the same logic I went for the 40d......although I ordered mine with the DHP, which means it really defies physics for something that big.......but as you say, the brakes feel lacking if you push on too much.....and I start to use the paddles to use the gearbox for engine braking to give the brakes some relief.
That's the advantage of the M50d, as it gets the bigger M brakes.
If I change it for a G05 in a couple of years time, I'll be happy enough to 'downsize' to a 30d in my old age.....and have a few more toys instead...... liking the idea of massage seat option in the G05 laugh

Ok - deal done @18.5% discount, which i'm pretty comfortable with.

To the 40d comments - we have one already (E70), but are slightly power obsessed - comes with the territory of being a powerfully built director I guess smilesmile

Thanks for all the inputs.

Went for the 50d, I forgot to mention it also has icon led’s too.

All in all a decent deal, and feel like following the head (instead of heart with a G05) was the right choice and will keep us in happy motoring for a few years. 👍

Let’s give this a try

It is the wife’s car, she’s happy with the mineral white - which is all that matters smile

Spec is
MSport + pack - so HUD, speed limit display,hk stereo, lane departure
Cold weather pack - heated back seats for the snowflakes, and heated wheel.
3rd row seating - we have 3 kids so always handy
Pan roof
Icon leds
Retractable to bar
21” wheels

I was about to buy an M50d X5, it was 24.9% off RRP via car wow and 0% apr.

Production ended so spec cannot be chosen.

I ended up ordering an X3 M40iinstea though.

Yeah we looked at the M40i but was too small for us, no 7 seats and a transmission tunnel in the back.
