Help with tyre pressure sensors F10 m5

I bought some used winter tyres and rims last year which didn't have the tyre pressure sensors fitted. I had a quick look at the time to see about cost and fittings and it seemed a bit of a hassle, BMW OEM's were very pricey, but I wasn't sure whether others were compatible, some people suggested that there could be problems with them needing programming to the car iDrive.

In the end I left it as it was quite late in the year but now that I have just fitted them again, i realised how much of a hassle it is every time I use the car to get the message warning me about tyre pressure and also the light permanently on on the dash and so I am considering getting them fitted, just not keen on getting them from BMW!

I would welcome any advice about fitting non OEM sensors and whether they are suitable?
