What have you lot been issued?

I'm hoping to get my 640d back soon, in the mean time i was given a Insignia 1.6d Auto, nice enough. Modern and user friendly infotainment kit, Enquired about the next class up but nothing from BMW and no call back from Enterprise who said i could pay the difference for a better class car, i've not been too fussed so have left it for now

A friend of mine dropped her E90 off and was given a 430i

She was subsequently disappointed to find it was powered by a four cylinder turbo lump.

Dropped a 525d off and got an Astra 1.4 Sri turbo. Such a let down from what I used to know of an Sri model. Bored of it now after over 5 weeks without mine.

My 2.0d F11 is going in on Wednesday to check to see if it’s affected. Enterprise are meeting me there so will see what they bring.

Took my wife's 116d in and came out with a Vauxhall Grandland X. It's ok but likes a drink from it's 1.2 petrol engine. Not great for the 500 miles I do a week.

Dropped F11 520D in last Thursday, had a 116D for the day and now running round in a Hyundai Tucson for however long it takes to sort mine.

Have to admit it's not a bad set of wheels.

Took my 430d GC in and got a Hyundai i40 estate auto. Was ok for the week that I had it but very happy to get my car back!

I was amazed, having read all the threads on the EGR, was expecting at least 3 weeks as the dealer told me there were 140 cars in before mine. Just as well I didn’t fill the tank on the hire car,

Count yourself lucky

Last autumn I booked my Ultimate Driving Machine in for an overpriced oil change (my opinion, not theirs) with 4 weeks notice and was told a courtesy car was out of the question due to the EGR recall

Im now in a Volvo and very happy

from a 640D to a Hyundai Tucson, 1.6 petrol (manual)

...its totally gutless! - First time I pulled onto a dual carriageway a truck had to overtake me whilst the car was thinking about accelerating

...it tells you to get into 6th gear by 40mph - Whats the point of all those other gears!

Have to red line the bd just to get some form of acceleration...cant overtake anything safely

and this super efficient petrol engine is managing just 37mpg - less then the 3.5 litre twin turbo Beemer

...coming up to 4 weeks now and the bmw service desk haven't returned one single call or given any update - C'#ts

Enterprise left me a Renault Kadjar, it’s not that bad, but it’s no 5 Series either

I took my 1997 3 series compact in just before Christmas for a new steering rack (and airbag) believe it or not for a recall at 22 years old and got given a 1 series sport for the day.

I’ve got to admit I do I prefer my old E36 as it soaks up the bumps better and is more comfortable after a long journey plus it has a m44 engine.

I did like the idrive thing though but the gizmos such as telling you to change gear were annoying and apparently my car had missed the recall sometime In 1998 and was safety critical lol.

Finally got the call from bmw mines ready after 6 weeks.
When I said I’ll collect on Saturday they said couldn’t I pick it up earlier as bmw don’t want to be paying for hire car and may charge me if mines ready! Wtf! Not like I’ve not been paying finance on a car I haven’t had! Call late on Thursday afternoon and thinking I can just pick up next day! Not like any of us work though is it and do they think we want to be driving round in a hire car instead of our own!
