Finally got the call from bmw mines ready after 6 weeks.
When I said I’ll collect on Saturday they said couldn’t I pick it up earlier as bmw don’t want to be paying for hire car and may charge me if mines ready! Wtf! Not like I’ve not been paying finance on a car I haven’t had! Call late on Thursday afternoon and thinking I can just pick up next day! Not like any of us work though is it and do they think we want to be driving round in a hire car instead of our own!
They really are unbelievable

BMW utterly arrogant these days, if that was me and I had to take time off to collect I’d be invoicing them for it.

I hate BMW these days and have NO intention to buy another BMW or Mini.

An ex colleague was told by Merc profit is more important than service when he had an issue and complained.

I've had an Insignia 1.6d and a 2.0d rental (as well as petrol and diesel Mokka Xs). Admittedly nothing to do with recalls. I'm really struggling with the notion that the infotainment system is described as good. I found it sluggish, poorly positioned and unintuitive to use. Better than most systems to be honest, but pretty dangerous to use while driving unlike the iDrive.

The rest of the car was decent but uninspiring. A solid 5 out of 10 all round, but the 6 speed auto is pants. The 2.0d had a much better 7 speed box with paddles.

I had a Tucson petrol auto and that was much nicer than the Vauxhalls on the whole.

Got mine back today. So much nicer to drive!
Pity they couldn’t be bothered to clean it though after being stored somewhere for 6 weeks and don’t know where they’ve been in it but had nearly a quarter of a tank of diesel when put in and got it back with 20 miles left!
But at least it’s back.

I left mine with nearly a full tanks as I had filled it before I got the letter it had better be the same or heads will roll. They phoned today to say the parts are on back order, so it’s anyone’s guess when I get it back. I don’t know how long I can stand this Kadjar, I wouldn’t mind if the weather was good I could use the TR6 now and again to take my mind off it

Bmw offered to pay upto £45.00+ vat a day for a hire car if you want to arrange your own. I asked about having something better and it wasn't possible to arrange. Thats when they told me of this option.

You have to claim the money back from them with your invoice for the rental.

We turned up to the dealer for the EGR recall which was arranged 3 months in advance. The agreed courtesy car wasn't available. Apparently they'd left a voicemail and sent an email. Lies. Re-arranged for 2 months time! Grr...
