I've just today picked up my pre reg M240i Convertible, 3 months old, 11 miles and 30% off list... Its Estoril Blue with black leather and is rather lovely... my first straight six and first BMW. Only issue I have is that the BMW Connected app doesn't work on my (rather old) iPhone, but I'm not sure it offers me much in case.

I think you have to have 'comfort access' to get the mirrors to fold via the fob as mine doesn't do it either. Not that bothered as you can just press the button in any case.

Just to say that being retired with little income a PCP deal was of no use to me, so cash for a pre reg was the way forward!
Nice that sounds very similar to the one I'm in. Cash definitely makes more sense if it's a pre-reg as the PCP APR is extornitate.

I had to setup BMW Connected via the website as my iPhone X kept failing to let me register the car.

What sort of MPG are you getting? I'm struggling to nudge much higher than late 20s! But I am having a lot of fun hehe

Was hoping to get about 30 mpg, but currently sitting at 19 mpg (!) as I've done very few miles (loads of other stuff come up since I picked it up!) and I've spent quite a bit of time sat on the drive with the engine running whilst I've fiddled with all the settings...

Anyone know how you get the Speed Limit signs to appear on dash or central display? It mentions it in the handbook but I can't seem to get it to show up... is this something else where you need a particular option/setting/service to get?

I believe the handbook covers all options, some of which may not be fitted to your car. I believe you can download a specific handbook by putting your VIN in the BMW website.

Hmm I'm up to about 600 miles now and it still seems to be getting stupidly low mpg, is this normal? My M135i was much better on fuel and I thought the 40i unit was supposed to be more frugal

3000 miles in three months and averaged 31mpg. Took it easy for first 1200 miles and not pushed it too hard yet but not hung around either.

Finally picked her up on Saturday! Been running her in and just cross the 200 mile mark. Better photos to come this weekend! So far, absolutely over the moon with the car, so quick through the gears and even though I’m keeping it under 4500 revs, it pulls like a motherf**ker!

Good stuff and it looks nice white which is good as mine is white too lick

Can’t wait to pick mine up in June.

The deals don’t seem to have changed too much since Q1 despite being told that there was no more support after that. Saying that the 1 series isn’t getting marketed quite as aggressively as it was in March.

700 miles in and its been brilliant so far. Looking forward to giving her a proper run once the 1200 mile run in is done. Pleasantly surprised by the MPG I'm getting on motorway runs, todays M3 run coming home was 33MPG and this was with a spirited drive through town getting onto the M3, and through town at the other end.

A few more pics as promised:

Lovely motor mate, enjoy! I’m also considering one. Wasn’t TRL offering 339 down and 339 x 48 for this car though, the prices you guys are mentioning seem to be abit high. I’m looking to buy an used older model, don’t think I can quite digest 400 quid leaving my pay packet a month lol

As I'm still running my e36 bought in 1998 I have not kept up with BMWs codes for the engines.

What size engine does the 140 have? Just wondered as the mpgs posted seem about the same as my big ol Mustang GT V8.

He was but that was on new builds with a 12-14 week lead time and 8k miles per year. My old 320i was on it's way out so needed something in a shorter time frame. Also, the deal I got included the GAP insurance and 3 year service pack both thrown in for "free" and is based on 13k miles/year.
When I spec'd the same model through TRL's deals, it worked out at 384/month but excluded GAP and service pack. Either way, don't think there's much in it!

It's a 3L straight six. I've seen people getting into the low 40's but I don't think my right foot is light enough to achieve that, nor is my motorway journey long enough.

Haha yes, I can’t help but laugh when I think back to the day I picked up the 320i having sold the Peugeot 106 I had as my first car, and thinking the 320i was the nuts!

I was a little apprehensive at first, going from a 3 series to a 1. Mrs was unsure as well but once I’d done the test drive, it was a done deal. Mrs is looking at a Mini Cooper Sport but I’m trying to talk her into buying the 140i at the end of the PCP and keeping her A1 for a few more years.

All in all pretty happy with the cabin and the sports seats are certainly a welcome upgrade from the ones in the 320i
