27% off a M340i with decent finance and I’d be in though

WOW that seems a great deal!!!! wonder how mileage affect it as hate it when they do it on 8k miles per year!

Though im not in a position to do that on a new daily yet. I'm still driving my old tank around to save some money lol.

Good discount on RRp but full price of £77,000 is totally rediculous. Anyone buying at that price needs their head putting back on. Ugh can get the jag SVR with over 500 bop fir that.

And it’s far more than the stelvio with its 560bhp too.

Yes. But it’s no SVR or stelvio Quadrafoglio is it..... ?

It makes a lot more sense with £20k dealer deposit obvs.....

Well none of them are exactly sports cars, are they.

Just reminded myself what the M340i touring costs on the same PCP deal for 48 straight payments from the usual Heathrow chirpy chappy.....

£599/month

Would trying to negotiate the monthly be 'extracting the urine'...?

Yes ! Lol

I think the deal shows how they are - not - selling ... and all I would say is there will be a reason for that. I expect the ride is a bit firm for most ... and the lack of torque unless pushing on makes it not as nice to drive as the M40i except when thrashing it.

My X3M40D is on the boat and I have to keep saying to myself the mpg would be ruinous on one of these. Darned cheap deal TBH and if I was still in the ordering process would be sorely tempted.

While BMW is certainley not the bastion of reliability it once was, I would bet an X3M would still spend a LOT less time in the dealership than either the Jag or the Alfa, so I'd take the X3M over both of them most likely, or despite the power drop, probably a Macan Turbo instead.

Dick Lovett is offering an X3 m40i for £499 × 48...

It's reviewed far more favourably and has lower running costs.

Not as well specced though so options will take it up to an X3M cost. Pays your money and take your choice,

As long as you get rid of it before the 2nd big service there surely can't be too much between them?

I guess a lot of it comes down to personal preference (i.e. could you live with the harsh ride) and circumstances: I sought out some insurance quotes for both, and there's a grand's difference in premium for a year's cover for me and the wife!

Personally, the idea of 500+bhp would trump most other considerations...

I suppose in most of the BMW line up, you'd rather take the M car than the hot x40i version but with a family SUV, comfort is probably more of a priority to most than outright performance. It's not as if the x40i version is slow either. Maybe the prestige of the M badge plays a part too.

Think that's what I negotiated my parents M3 Comp to over a span of 47 months, 0% APR and an 8k limit, OTR price was around about the same.

That's just an incredible deal though. They must be pretty desperate to sell them
