I've just looked in the brochure and found the RRP including VAT is £67,905, tried that and the P11D value of £68,755, and it only makes a £60 difference via BMW insurance. I'll just put the P11D value.

Just had a quote of £268.13 for the remainder of my policy until 19th June 2020. Might just do that to get my 7th year NCB. With the P11D as the value and 8,000 miles a year.

Try adding a tracker onto your AXA insurance and see if its makes it any cheaper? Mine was almost £700 cheaper so worth putting a tracker on

But then I'd need to get a tracker?

I've insured through current insurer for £268.12 for 14 weeks.

Guessing you haven't got an existing lease that still needs insurance while waiting for it to be collected then?

I hope you’re not implying that you’ve lied about having a tracker when you don’t actually have one?

Fortunately not. I am going from a 2003 Clio 172. That I now need to sell in the next 13 days. I bought the clio after having an R estate for 2 years. So might need it in a further two years!

Yeah that's handy. I'm just going to leave existing policy run until it goes back, and start a new one for the beemer.

Yeah, brilliant isn't it? People get paid to write that...

Mind you, content aside, the quality of the actual brochure is very high.

ALA have quoted me £152 for 2yr GAP insurance which includes reimbursement of up to £3k of initial rental (slightly below my actual which is £3,220-ish but close enough and better than nothing!).

It's a very, very nice brochure. I've been enamoured with the quality, I'm getting a quote on print from a supplier because it's so nice. But I am very odd.

Back in the day Porsche did hardback brochures. I had them for my 987 cars. Much smaller format, but more pages. Reminded me, somehow, of the Ladybird books of my childhood, updated, printed on glossy paper, and full of fast cars.

You can save about £40, by getting a quote from TotalLossGap - https://totallossgap.co.uk/quote/2/1, asking ALA to price match via info@ala.co.uk (I'm currently speaking to Lee@ala.co.uk). It will be approx. £118.07.

But that's based on my 9+23 8k miles of £325.71. So could be cheaper for you if there's a higher IR.

Cheers, will give that a look when I get to placing it! Mine's 9+23 on 10k @ £358/mo.

No worries, I remember my GAP insurance workaround from the Golf R Estate Lease Thread in 2016 helped quite a few people get it cheaper! smile

No the tracker will cost £2-300 so I am still saving around £400 overall as having a tracker reduces my insurance by about £700! No brainer really
