No issues here either. Even the software update went well. I've also done a little bit of coding after the update and added traffic light detection etc so the cars better now than when I bought it feature wise.

12 months for me too with no issues, mileage around 6k I think.

I'm happy to listen to the radio in the car so haven't bothered with any software updates.

My daughter gave it a birthday wash

1 year in and no major complaints. How is everyone else getting on?
All good here after 7000 miles, other than the occasional drop out of bass from the stereo.
I’m on the same mileage and still experiencing the same bass drop - !!! I find this so annoying- anyone know why this might happen ??? As it’s clearly a common issue :-(

Year for me as well. 7000+ miles. Has been into BMW a few times. Twice for the drivetrain warning. Apparently it was because of some particle filter. However, it’s come up again so going into dealer again.

Still really enjoying mine, lovely to drive, decent levels of performance and looks good. Shamefully have only done 4000 of my 12000 mileage limit but that's been a product of lockdown and wfh for a year! The rear indicator failure warning has started reappearing again tho. Very annoying!

That's strange, I just had that last night. I thought it was the anniversary present I was waiting for from BMW!

Almost a year in and no issues. Car is a dream. Really like how Android Auto is integrated into the head up display and 'Nav" button. Wasnt the case with S5.

Its not as quick off the mark compared to the Audi S5, but i have noticed putting your foot down at 60-70mph it really picks up speed to over 100 in no time! Its so smooth you dont even realise you've reached 100 most times.

My only gripe is the boot, having been used to a hatchback opening. Literally the only issue which i am happy to live with. You guys think there is any chance of a 1 year extension at similar prices??

You'll probably be able to get a 6 month informal extension at the same price, but anything further, I think they will lose something like £10k on the car at auction, so will likely be nearer £800pm.

I had the same software upgrade message today after a 450 mile round trip - left the car to get on with it - I’m sure someone will advise if anything worth knowing 👍

Mine started it too - nothing really of any interest in there for me tbh. I would appreciate a fix for the HUD rev-counter issue, also my offside front parking sensor shows I'm near something but doesn't beep, weirdly.

Can't seem to get mine to apply it. The App has finished downloading and the car keeps saying it will notify me when ready to install, but the notification never comes!

Not tried mine yet but the car has done so little lately and others have said the battery needs to be relatively well topped up to work I wouldn't be surprised if that was the cause for it not to start. We use Alexa a lot so that would be good, but I'm expecting the coding I'd had done to get wiped again.

Update : prior to software update Spotify was Intergrating perfectly- now it’s not !!!!! :-(

Someone mentioned a possible recall a page or two back. Just had a notification on my phone from the app about it. Here is the info the app:

Looks like a visit to the local dealer coming up!

So I happened to open the app today after you guys posting about recalls and it informed me that the rear offside window was open. Except there was no way to close it from the app. And it didn't alert me in any way from when I parked up last night. Seems pretty stupid to have the tech available but not to warn me about it (surely after walking away from the car and it locking it could have said after a period of time, "Hey, did you mean to leave that open..?") and even when I spotted it, there wasn't anything I could do about it from the app itself.

I'm not actually quite sure why the window was even down - I've not had passengers or put it down myself! Also why are there two apps that appear to do the same thing? There's 'My BMW' and 'Connected'...

I think that it's a safety issue. There's no unattended window close function on any car in case you operate it when a small child has his /her head poking out of the window and you chop their head off (or something like that) because you can't see it happening.

They'd soon learn after the first time... hehe

Tesla have done it, but their idea of being the safest car you can buy and mine aren't the same. Tesla have also introduced the feature where you can open the front boot thing remotely even though you have no way of closing it. Again, seems idiotic to me, at least not without a "are you really sure?" confirmation.

But, yes, its still a pity they don't warn you when you lock and walk away. Maybe thats what the display key might do if I was bothered to use it.?
