Pretty sure that was me!!!

Where exactly did you see it and about what time? I was going to Chelmsford so got on the M11 then M25 and back onto A12

Possibly not, depending where you were coming from.. Was junction 8 onwards north towards Cambridge, around middayish. Think they were the multispokes but difficult to tell as it was moving!

I've only ever seen one other 8GC in the whole time I've had mine - and it was at the local shops just up the road from me! Was nicer than mine though - M850i, would love to have a go in that...

Spotted a Barcelona blue GC on Brackley high street, only other GC I've seen when out and about.
I like the rarity factor smile

I think I’ve seen 1 GC in the wild but there’s a few coupes and convertibles around here.

Fcensoredcksake, I think I've done something to displease the automotive deities:

Nearside rear this time - that's 3 new tyres needed in just a couple of months. Never had anything like this before in 25 years of driving and such a short distance!

This'll be covered on the maintenance though so thankfully only an inconvenience - I'm very glad I chose to take the maintenance now, it'll definitely have saved me money by the end of the term.

Well after almost a year of running this car and driving 10k miles I’m still enjoying the experience and receiving regular compliments over its looks and dravit grey metallic- out of interest has anyone approached Leasys as yet to confirm what arrangements are possible to extend lease ?

I really like the car but hardly get to drive it at all. It appeared on my drive pretty much the first day of lockdown 1 and I've done zero business miles since then. 3500 miles so far, apparently another 16,000 until my first service!

Looks like in 12 months time there’s going to be an awful lot of low mileage 1 careful owner cars on the market- I assume they will go to auction not back to Bmw unless leases extended

I'm going to see if I can extend mine for at least another 6 months (or even a year) but keep the mileage at 20,000 (or possibly a little more if a full 12 months extra). Like others I've got 10k/yr available and only done 5,700 in 11 months.

Just started looking at insurance and it looks like it'll be coming in around £500-ish this year which is handy.

Had the car valeted today and whilst giving it a once-over I happened to spot this on the o/s outer tail light:

There's another smaller mark lower down as well:

What's very strange is that the cracks are on the inside with no marks at all on the outside of the lens. I know I've never hit it with anything - and if I had, I'd be expecting to be able to see and feel the crack from the outside. Any ideas on what might've caused this? I'm concerned it might spread and required a new light cluster...

Anyone else finding the air con a little flaccid in the (only really slightly) warmer weather we're enjoying at the moment? It never seems to really cool the car down very much - it gets cold but never has much oomph unless set to 'Max AC' at which point it's all a bit too much...

I've not got it set to Auto either before anyone asks. I just want a nice, gentle and constant chilled stream of air but even on the top fan setting it's underwhelming.

Can't imagine how it would cope in actual hot temperatures!

I had this but then i noticed the rear unit did not have AC turned on, worse still was on high temp. Try turning down the rear temp or turn rear AC on and see if it makes a difference.

I find mine doesn't work brilliantly in the heat either, and my 8 is a Coupe without the rear unit. Bit odd in a car that otherwise seems excellent in all areas!

So 8ve been heading into the (new) office recently which now involves a new multistorey car park with those rightly curved ramps... God it makes me a nervous wreck - it 'fits', insofar as ive not yet kerbed it but I'm sure it's a matter of time! Why do they make the kerbs in these places so bloody big and angry looking!

The first time I went into a multi-storey, I really scraped my wheel badly, I was infuriated! I just don't park in those car parks anymore!

Mine’s a coupe too and a/c appears to work fine

I’m ignoring it. I vide my car and every software update clears the changes. BMW need to update the config of cars to make feature changes available such as automatic lane which older cars have to have coded even though they run the later software

I’m also finding with the ac off there’s a huge amount of hot air coming from the vents which doesn’t give up - plus seems to be hot within footwell, got a distinct burning rubber smell at one point today with the car being driven carefully
Have you checked what the rear vents are set to? I had this and found that the kids had set the rears to max heat!
