My father has just sold his Estoril 340i touring, (19 plate with 3k miles) back to our local BMW dealer in Swansea if anybody is still looking for one. Has Oyster leather and HUD.

What did he get for it out of curiosity as mine is a 19 plate (Shadow ed) with just over 5k on the clock now. Cost me just over 27k back on October when it had 200 odd miles on it.

The Tourings aren't too shabby either...I could probably just about stretch to an M340 with a bit of man maths... But every time I drive my 340 I enjoy it so

much that I cannot justify the extra 15-18k +... Had a fab spirited drive today and came back beaming ear to ear (The MPPSK is incredible) 18 months in

and still chuffed to bits.. Ace cars.

You did well - can’t get 19 plate for anything close to that now!

Yeah I thought at the time it was a pretty good deal. Vs the 19 plate mentioned above mine is 2 months older and has a couple of thousand more on the clock (5k rather than 3k), but I've got a couple more options than that one. So I'd probably be looking at similar money on a BMW forecourt. Looking at the Used BMW site, as I did for quite literally every day for 9 months when I was hunting for one, I can safely say that prices for these have gone up since I was last looking in Autumn; it's not often you say that about used cars!

There was a real lull in the market in summer last year for these, probably because the M340i was being discussed a lot but hadn't come out, plus there were a lot of nearly new cars on the market that had been released by BMW AUC into the dealer network. Now they've all been sold, there aren't that many around and the higher spec ones seem to command a good premium.

They are both breathtaking cars. Real sleepers as they look like any other 3 Series with S/S package from the front and side profile.

I said on another thread that the MPPSK wasn't worth the Fanfair.

Well because of a Shoulder injury the TVR is now SORN ( Non PAS Griff) . My 340 i is now getting the MPPSK treatment next week . Can't wait. biggrin

Congrats you will be impressed with the MPPSK particularly being a TVR man, (god I miss my TVR's), Its quiet as a lamb in comfort mode then put it

into sport or sport + and it becomes a completely different animal, Powerful yet practical, quick with a fantastic soundtrack... whats not to love.

PS we must be due an update from James.. Or is he too busy saviouring the MPPSK soundtrack hehe

It's not just me that thinks it's mad that BMW make and sell this exhaust then laugh I love the car but the exhaust really makes it for me, it just gives it the noise to go with the power.

Loving the new car but had a nightmare with the dealer, paid for the MPPSK but got home to realise they had just fitted the back box.... after much faffing it’s going back in tomorrow to get the whole job done!!

It’s an absolutely brilliant car, I’m actually pretty happy I didn’t fork out the extra for the new model, looks great but it’s not worth the premium in my opinion.

Also, the 2018 pre euro 6 model has got to be the one to have wink

James.

Did you have to sell the house to get the MPPSK upgrade . Looks like you have no room for accommodation .biggrin

ETA: How did you know it wasn't the full package?

I actually moved house last week so getting a touring was great timing, 3 dump runs so far!

I noticed the m performance engine cover sticker was missing so I contacted my pal, who’s a BMW mech, he suggested they had messed up. The dealer admitted their mistake pretty quickly...

Car looks superb in Estoril... Can't believe they only fitted the backbox.... Just make sure they also do the engine map which is part of the MPPSK

package... which takes BHP up from 326 to 360 and Torque up from 450nm -500.. It makes a pretty noticeable difference to the performance and loads

to the grin factor biggrin

Fantastic isn't it? Really transforms the car, such a shame it can't be fitted to anything after late 2018.

When you get the chance try out the kick down from a lowish speed in sport plus and listen out for the fireworks... It also takes off like a scalded cat.. Great fun card to drive fast or slow.

Took it out on Sunday for a 7am spirited run around the roads I used to regularly ride my bikes; A31, 32 and 272. I’m seriously surprised by how well it shifts and handles, especially as it never did particularly well in the press. Sure it’s not a 2 seater sports car, but power is more than enough for the road and it happily dispatches corners with relative driving pleasure.

Yep, the over run in sport plus is quite ridiculous, not something you want in a residential area, but awesome out in the sticks.

Very happy!
