Had my 135 for nearly 2 weeks now - noticed when I have the windows open that in 1st/2nd gear the engine sounds noticeably ‘rattly’ under load, with really loud turbo whistle too - is everyone else’s the same? It doesn’t sound very smooth in those gears but is fine once it gets up to 3rd - never been in one of these before so nothing to compare it against….don’t want to waste time getting it looked at if it’s just normal
From what’s been said on babybmw forum is perfectly normal apparently. If your not on there I’d recommend joining as loads of new and longer F40 owners on there with some great advice

That’s normal. What pressures are people with 18s running?
The rear of my 135 feels nothing like as planted as it did with golf Rs. The pressures are as per the lower sticker figures and have done 150miles now so mould release should be pretty much gone.
Arnold Clark insisted on washing it before delivering it to me with 30 miles on the clock. Surprisingly dusty inside. Also a few light scratches on the gear selector and centre console trim but they’d happen sooner or later anyway I guess.

Im on 36 psi fronts and 33 psi rears. Can’t compare to Golf R but it feels planted enough. The rear of my 135 feels nothing like as planted as it did with golf Rs. The pressures are as per the lower sticker figures and have done 150miles now so mould release should be pretty much gone.

Big time! I had plastic covers over front seats and carpets weren't down. Just hope the PDI was done correctly.
Have you complained to AC?Just out of curiosity
Why are these deals from AC not cosmetically prepared . They should be presented in a clean condition.
Hell....its a new car and should be presented as one.
To me there should be no difference between a cash sale .PCP or Lease deal.

I am hoping that the poorly presented cars are the exception. You tend to complain quicker than you praise companies. I suppose I’ll find out on Thursday when mine is delivered! Why are these deals from AC not cosmetically prepared . They should be presented in a clean condition.

I have had 2 of my lease cars driven delivery so AC using a transporter is a lot better than being driven trust me.
Thing with leasing is if you want the deals you get them from anywhere over the U.K…
If you want the brand new car feel and service I would suggest getting one from a local dealer where you can collect.
Sounds harsh but that’s the reality of leasing sometimes

Yes agreed, of the previous 3 leases 2 have been driven to me and 1 I was picking up from a localish Seat main dealer. Thing with leasing is if you want the deals you get them from anywhere over the U.K…

Just give it a wash and it should be gleaming!
PS spot the Mineral grey M135i over the road! Common as muck!

So just had an update from AC on my March order M135i order (I had to chase) and it’s been delayed by 4 weeks now until the start of September and it won’t have the wireless charging (expected this)
My order placed on the 25th of March is now saying 9th of august when it was originally the 3rd of July delivery date.Edited by Graeme123 on Monday 14th June 12:55
Going to be 2 months without a car now... not sure why they’re saying September to you.
Debating cancelling even though my deal is unreal.

My worry is if they even do the PDI correctly or just tick the boxes. You would think they would notice something up with the spec Why are these deals from AC not cosmetically prepared . They should be presented in a clean condition.
