Just had mine delivered as he rang from the transporter to ask if he could drop it off tonight rather than in the morning and he could get back to Glasgow early.
I am not sure I have ended up with the performance tyres on the car, the ones that are on it are Bridgestone not the Pirelli, what do other people have?
The Bridgestone's are fine . They just need warming up a little , mine have done 7k with no problems .I am not sure I have ended up with the performance tyres on the car, the ones that are on it are Bridgestone not the Pirelli, what do other people have?
ETA : I reduced the tyre pressures to R 33psi & F 35psi .

Its Cosmoline (rust preventative) applied during manufacturing. Most of it gets washed off at VPC and ends up inside the door where it seeps out more so during summer months when it gets hot. Mines just seems to be soaked in the stuff. Those of you with Turanza T005s, just be careful in the wet. Not sure I’ve ever driven a car so lethal on a damp road. Woeful understeer and braking on a slight downhill for a roundabout felt like I was braking on snow/ice on summer tyres.
Am going to bite the bullet and fit a set of PS4.

Check your pressures, some have found they’re quite high which could lead to ‘crowning’ or the tyres minimising the contact patch. Am going to bite the bullet and fit a set of PS4.
Thanks MissChief. When cold they are spot on the lower sticker pressure. When driving, according to the car they are typically 2psi high all round. I’m going to drop them all by 2psi to start with and give that a try, although can’t imagine 2psi is going to make a huge difference. It’s got less grip than my Boxster had on 10 year old PS2s!
So driven the 128ti that got delivered for a 1090mile trip, I found that the gear changes from the auto box kick when you come off the throttle to the push back again it seems to kick. The cupra auto box seems a lot smoother, abs the older 128 I test drove didn’t kick so badly, anyone else have these issues?

The Aisen gearbox is definitely a lot clunkier than the 8 speed ZF or the 7speed DSG my 2nd golf R had.
On light throttle, in Comfort mode when setting off from home the changes are really noticeable. Bit like a novice driving a manual for the first time.
That’s exactly what it feels like, not very smooth at all. The previous Cupra had a better gear change. On light throttle, in Comfort mode when setting off from home the changes are really noticeable. Bit like a novice driving a manual for the first time.

Yes 3 weeks in with the 135 and still not getting along with the auto box compared to dsg Cupra. The 135i auto box is jerky. Even with light pressure on throttle car jumps intermittently. Reversing can be dangerous sometimes as throttle responds with the lightest pressure.

Read on babybmw a very recent on air update has made a big difference to the throttle response maybe look into that? The 135i auto box is jerky. Even with light pressure on throttle car jumps intermittently. Reversing can be dangerous sometimes as throttle responds with the lightest pressure.
