Kind of is when I was promised 16 weeks then keep getting fed lies about they are positive it will come forward yet it’s going backwards.
Sounds like we’re in the same boat, guessing you have the tech pack?

As I said a few weeks ago I’ve come to the conclusion it will arrive when it arrives…

Probably be a new shape out by the time we get them lol
Just pro pack in storm bay mate I know someone that ordered from AC in may same car and spec, got their car in 16 weeks yet mine sounds more like 25 weeks.

Maybe AC are playing down lead times in order to secure sales and then just stalling with updates to cover the void ?
Sounds like it mate I got a snotty email a month for so ago because I had contacted bmw directly instead of AC, I did it again yesterday as I was told it’s scheduled for production and bmw said week 36 to dealer when AC said it’s week 32.

The only reason i chose to order from inchcape over AC was because i'd test drove one there and thought i'd humour them to put a quote together, but they actually beat the AC quote. Not by a lot, but add in the convenience of a physical dealership and the proper handover experience, it seemed like a no brainer.

Test drove on the 22/05/2021
Haggled like mad on the 24/05/2021
Ordered on the 25/05/2021
Delivery to dealer due today, 23/07/2021

By some fluke they had a cancelled order but they kept the build slot when i ordered so they just changed it over to me.

I had no way of knowing how things would turn out, but by the looks of things i was extremely lucky.

I'm pondering going for a 128ti lease from G2L. They have the following:

9+35
5k miles PA
£234 per month
£2,105 up front
£240 admin fee

Seems decent value in the current market.

Does anyone have any experience of how the car manages for family transport? I have two kids - aged 5 and 2, so I'm not sure if it'd be big enough!

I think that’s an ok deal tbf

As for using it for a family car it should be fine as your youngest won’t need a pram for much longer if they have one now haha

Slight delay on it getting to the dealer, turns out the transporter had a number of drops to make at different dealers along the way,

Arrived at the dealers yesterday afternoon - they sent me a sneaky couple of photos, it has continental tyres on the 18s so pleased about that.

Will be ready for collection tomorrow at 1pm.

Ask me how excited i am.. Go on... Dare ya..bouncebouncebouncebouncebouncebouncebounce

I could be wrong but i don't think your Direct Messages will work as you're a new poster

Ah, yes, you're right, unfortunately, it might be for the first 24hrs. Newbie mistake.

I'll check back again tomorrow.

I've spoken to AC and they are happy for the transfer, if I can find someone to take on the lease. Should be fairly straightforward.

Tech pack is in short supply due to electronics shortage.

My 128ti is great. It’s faster than I expected and is really fun to drive. Mine is standard with no extras except heated steering for winter.

I was lucky to get the upgraded digital dash and larger centre screen foc due to the shortages. It’s brilliant and easily the best interior of any car I’ve had. Last two leases were a Audi A4 black edition 2017 and a Volvo XC60 2019.

This car is much more fun to drive and has better tech. Ride is firmer though. Expected that and coming from the XC60 I’m now getting used to feeling pot holes again.

Arnold Clark have been pretty poor though. The handover was terrible and the car was absolutely filthy.

I have three years of the car and thankfully no more dealings really with Arnold Clark. Judge the car not the lease company…

Stroke of luck with the Contis Pixelpeep!

Still not bonded with mine tbh - considering fitting a set of PS4 to see if that helps. Dynamically I’d say my Mk7 and 7.5R were leagues ahead and that’s after lots of tyre pressure experimenting with the BMW to try and improve things.

Seems to have been the way with handovers. I bet the PDI was just ticked off without doing real checks because my exterior spec was off.

Had my 128ti delivered yesterday. Standard spec except performance tyres.

September delivery was agreed at point of order and when the car arrived in the country last month. However last week I was told it had to registered by today!

I was left with the option of Sept delivery but the warranty commencing from today. Paying £30 a month more for Sept registration/delivery or delivery now.

Had to return my old vehicle a month early to avoid the extra £1000 over the term or running the last month of lease without BMW warranty.

Car seems great so far although the urban commute this morning recorded 21mpg with a light foot and eco pro mode. Hopefully this improves!

Second car from AC this year, both more hassle than previous leases and delivery condition not great. Still a good deal all round though so thanks for the heads up!
