Went for the Pilot Sport 4 S in the end. Just had them fitted and cant wait to try them out later! Not driven it for over a week.
I have them on my 540i. Nice tires, but I find them less sporting than the old Pilot Super Sports.

For my M2, I took the alternative Goodyear F1 Supersports and find them much better than the PS4S, with the exception of wet performance.

Superb tyres; absolutely loved them on my previous 130i on ProTrack One alloys - super grippy in wet & dry

Fantastic news, loving how resilient this generation of BMWs are.

Mine will be in for MOT in January, on a similar mileage I suspect.

I learnt that the hard way! I was swapping my boots, leaned down and must have pressed the button on the fob in my pocket, there was a beeping and I got hit on the back of the head by the boot catch!

What also impressed me was you can open the boot by pushing the button on the door down and shut it by pulling it up. My old Audi would only open the boot, you had to get out and press the button on the boot to shut it.

Got my first set of these on my Lexus - waaay better than the Bridgestone runflats. Superquiet too.

Today I did swearing at sunroof seals. They shrink. On a 2022 car which is utterly ridiculous.
Just £35 though, so I just bought one and fitted it - easier than arguing with the dealer, and either finding it's not covered or wasting hours to/fro the service dept.
Shrunk 2022 vs virgin 2025. Pathetic quality.

Fitted. It just rolls on from the lower edge. Yes I used youtube.

I know it's not a full Nurburg-ready conversion and engine rebuild done on my drive, but I'll have you know my fingers are quite sore now

A few weeks ago I spent days trying to work out where the creaking was coming from, finally worked it out to be the sunroof. I tried all sorts, emptying the glove box, etc.

It’s piss poor that a fairly new car suffers with this issue. I greased the seals and it’s been ok since.

Just hold in the same button on the fob that you press to open it. The boot stops instantly if you happen to release the button midway.

Thanks chaps thumbup

Did need a bit of work. Had the front control arms one (was advisory last year) and needed tyres as well as attend to an exhaust issue (see E91 beard thread). Car drives great new, the switch to non RFTs is always a game changer.

Picked it up from detailing and ceramic coating ...... checked the weather, 0% chance of rain ...... headed off 80n miles down the M1 to see my brother-in-laws mini resto ..... once fate had me locked on the M1 the skies emptied.......

Stopped at The Bowl on the way back for a burger and got soaked again, but by the time i'd got back all the water beaded off and the damn thing was near immaculate. Grabbed my new snowfoam bottle, sprayed it, made a cuppa and jet washed it off...... dried it with a leaf blower ...... better than new ..... never thought i'd be impressed by this new fangled ceramic stuff ......

Important mileage milestone achieved on the X5.

Seems to be behaving. The wheel bearing change has sorted out the 4x4/DSC warning light. And importantly not pissing out oil everywhere now that the oil cooler/oil cooler pipes have been replaced.

As mentioned in this thread, sent off the CCC unit for repair.

Was repaired quickly and efficiently (if anyone wants details of the company who did it, PM me). Refitted today and works spot on.

Haha brilliant.

Currently forming plans for the 2nd BMW to sit on the drive, which were contingent on insurance being reasonable.

M135i looks to be about £500 for both me and the wife with business cover. Been offered a loan of one whenever we're interested, think that might be getting arranged for next week when we're back in the country....

I ve dug out the Ctek trickle charger ready for when I go on holiday and want to leave my 730d on charge.

Got me thinking about the Ctek compatible adapters for the 13 pin towing electric socket, anyone use one on their BMW?
