Lost a wing mirror on my F11 dodging a van coming round the corner.

Housing, electrics and mirror all smashed.

Where's the best place to purchase a replacement?

How much work is involved with replacing the whole wing mirror?

It's electronic but doesn't have heating
I'd be surprised if it doesn't have heating. It's not usually on a switch, but heats automatically under 3C

Found an original Italvolanti Formel steering wheel on Fleabay and fitted it to the E30 race car build.
Looks spot on.
Pedals, driver footrest are next on the list for replacement - and remove that nasty carbon tape from the cage.

Lots of little jobs to do but hopefully ready for the summer.

First world problems! The rear number playe on my G42 has wonky font. The plate itself mounted square but the actual lettering has been stuck to the acrylic on the piss. This has bugged me the full year I’ve owned the car. As it was in for a brake fluid service yesterday, I asked them to make me a new set of plates.

I thought these were a bargain at £15 and although they still had the protective film on I could see the lettering was aligned so took them away a happy chap to fit myself. Pulled the protective film off today and they’ve managed to trap several air bubbles between the printed reflective layer and the acrylic face so they look ste.

I specifically wanted BMW dealer plates as I didn’t want them to have some naff online company name on the footer.

Anyone used an online source that make quality plates up and will print a nice roundal or similar on the footer??

Sort of cabin I’m working towards. Binnacle looks great.

Cleaned the 'temp measure' 71 plate X3 (see Readers Cars):

Absolutely filthy as not used for nearly 4 weeks; uncovered a LOT of crud in the nooks and crannies; as an example:

And after the clean and coating with Koch Chemie Protector Wax:

There aren't any, or at least I've never been hit for any neither has anyone else I know who've ordered from them.

Gave it a thorough wash and vacuum ready for sale.

Tried using my d/a sander on the carpet to lift the fine dirt that the hoover wouldn't ever get out - tip from a Facebook reel - it really worked well.

Oil change today:

9l suction pump, got it bone-dry in a few minutes.

Filter out:

Fortunately in one piece, nothing worrying in the pleats.

7 litres of Mobil's finest

7 came out:

Nicely done; the pumps make life so much easier for stuff like this (if you have a diesel that is); goodness knows why they don't fit dipsticks to petrol engines any more rolleyes
