Struggling to find decent spec 340i touring’s, so starting to look at 440i gran coupe’s.

Anybody have experience of putting a mountain bike in the boot? Looks like it will fit no issue with the front wheel off but of course I can’t go and view one at the mo...

Have had one in mine no problem. Can’t recall the frame size but it has 29” wheels if that helps?

There's various online reviews, but Joe Achilles' review is probably the most descriptive... https://youtu.be/Zr9e7m5YTzE?t=403

Slight tangent but what is up with the lack of 340i tourings around? Did 99.9% of people get the diesels? Because a 340i seems extremely rare when I’ve been looking for them.

Yep for some reason they are rare, maybe because the diesel environment thing hadn’t really became in the general public view when it got launched.

So most non-PH people would of probably gone for the 335d as better economy and just as fast on paper.

My solution is a 435i coupe, a removable tow bar and a bike rack. Slightly more faff, but saves putting dirty bike in the back of a car too.
