Have been offered a 2014 X6 4.0d with approx 50k - has full service history, but is due a minor service, brake fluid change, mot and 2 front tyres. I can get £1000 off if I do those jobs myself, but is that a false economy? Anything else I should be looking for or are they pretty reliable?

i have had my 2016 car over a year. No issues apart from CBS which means you may have to keep going back for servicing rather than the traditional getting it all done once a year or two. Make sure the recalls are done My car had 2 recalls-EGR valves and Isofix points. NIce car but not a sporty drive compared to a Cayenne.

Thanks Dr Mojo - i'll probably take it to my local indy as its got the age where main dealer history is a nice to have but not going to impact the value too much.
Need to find out if its still on run flats as assume you can't mix and match (i.e. run flats on the back and normal on the front) as i remember the run flats in my previous E63 were hard as rock and ride improved when changing to normal tyres.
