Yeah that's the button for it, but I presume there are some actuators or something under those caps on the top of the turrets.

Here's an E39s engine bay without EDC:

I understand this to be an extremely rare options, and extremely expensive to fix / replace. The car was registered in Swindon, and not left the area.

That's it, you have a S-EDC button, in my case in-between the heated seats & ASC buttons, plus the connectors on top of the struts under the hood (I'll take some snaps).

I'll consult the manual, but I think they're always on, and can be pre-selected to a sport mode.Sadly, the button doesn't work for me, and YES I want to get this sorted regardless of the cost.

I might start a project thread, as it's such a unique E39!

I would be very interested in the project thread, I'm on the hunt for an import E39 at the moment. Where did you find it? There's a few at dealers on eBay currently but it's always nice to buy from an enthusiast.

Side note - have you sold your 328 touring yet? I travelled 570 miles on Saturday to view one but it was a dog. Gutted!

Jap imports are not the be all and end all. Mine was badly sun damaged. Did you see my thread - link above?

I've had this car for five and a half years now (bought it from my sister who had it from new).

I've done a project thread here - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

And yes, sadly the E36 328 touring went in the summer.

The square reg plates on certain imports are the utter ruination of what is otherwise the most beautiful car BMW has ever made.

Just had a quick look now, shame about the boot, but for £600 I'd rather have an import than a UK car!

Yeah but I got very lucky. The ad was shocking and no one else really bid.

The daily.

525i E39 Touring.

I haven't spent much time looking into it but I believe it has quite a few options on it.

Very, very nice indeed... just hope it isn't as laden with electrical gremlins as my 540iT!

I feel like I saw this on the M3 heading south on Monday night. Could be my eyes though. Looks well optioned. Style 32s, Rain sensor, Headlight washers/Xenon headlamps. Was it a BMW car? They were all on Reading plates around that time.

Cheers, to be honest I don’t know. I’ve put the style 32’s on but the rest is completely standard bar the Android headunit.

Wasn’t this one on Monday but I am in Reading and commute near to Farnborough each day
