Sounds like a bargain, although admittedly I have only been looking for 330s.
That was a bargain - you'll have to pay twice that money for a 330i!

Which is why I bought a 325i in February! wink

Always nice to see a Seven Series that's neither silver or black. Lovely looking motorcar.

Thanks... I sifted quite a bit of the usual dross to find this

It's had its foibles, but I'd rather have something individual and a bit of a project than just a standard E65 that's been chucked up and down the motorways

Gorgeous colour; best wheels for it too IMO

Thanks all. I really like the wheels too. Modest 12mm spacer on the rear, 255 AD08R tyres all round. Many people fit 265 on these but it feels great on the 255.

I think you'd need to get really serious g force wise to test the difference between a 255 and a 265 if you're using AD08R tyres.

I believe some people use 265 35 because the overall circumference is smaller than a 255 40 but it's only marginal.

Too wide up front will numb the steering. The thinner the better for me.

Agreed... I went for the 255 AD08R as I've been through a fair few sets of this tyre on other cars. I got right up and beyond their limits at the Nurburgring back in April. It was good fun. After speaking to a few chaps over there it seemed the 255 AD08R was well regarded as a 'fun' tyre on the M3. Had I maybe doubled my budged and gone for 265 DZ03g, I think I could have gained 15s over the lap!

I wanted to keep tramlining to a minimum too. It feels just right on the road, very pointy. I've got the 'purple tag' rack too with a solid coupling, fresh inner/outer toe links. Feels great.

A quick clip of the limits being discovered through Brunnchen if anyone's interested!

hehe - that honestly that was not a comfortable place to be. My friend thought I was just putting on a show as he was behind me, reality was I very nearly lost it!

That was my first thought

I thought the curb saved you

But it was close to both on the litter

Lovely.

I confess to a tiny amount of bias though.

E30 has to be the best 3 ever built. I fancy an e30 2.5ix but looks like a difficult task.
