Mine is nearly finished now. When I say finished I mean for now, as I've run out of cash.

Looks damn fine as it is presently...

In my experience older BMW's are never "finished", there is always another job to put on the list.
Which of course means we always run out of money wink

I think there are too many clean cars on neat driveways in this thread, so here's a muddy one parked in a puddle from when I went out earlier to see how 5 degrees feels with the top down. Spoiler alert: quite cold.

Put my last day of annual leave to good use yesterday. It’s safe to say it looked like it’d finished a rally stage by the time I got home.

A wagon flicked up a LOT of mud/stones on the front-end, a lot of mounting muddy verges down single track lanes, even having to reverse half a mile down one of said single track lanes after finding it was severely flooded!

Regardless, it was a good day - Every time I take this car down some proper roads I remember just how good it is (and how good it looks).

Looks good... I was out today in filthy weather getting my gearbox mapped, so car is looking similar. Will give it a nice wash this week though.

Got my new tips on, so pleased with them. Cars going well now with engine and box mapped.

Mine a few weeks ago on a pretty cold wet early morning drive! Didn't get nearly enough miles on it this year - roll on spring 2021!

(and yes the lack of hubcaps on the front looks crap - the plastic deformed and they fell off on a trackday earlier in the year  Replacements waiting to go on!)

The grey (Dravit) is awesome, it actually goes gold in the sun...

I'm trying to work out who you are and where you know me from...!

Edit: I think I've figured it out - was it one of the Hants PH runs?

Better in sunlight.

It was a South Coast one I think, front on pic taken from a distance by someone on a run, my blue VXR, your 123d then a liquid yellow Megane R26.

Its at home so will dig out later.

She's getting there... engine and gearbox remap done. Hybrid turbo and suspension tweaks still to go.

The power delivery is brutal.

Nice! Bet that’s ‘entertaining’ in the wet!
It can be, but it's like a totally different car. I'd suggest better to drive than any of the M4s I've tried.

Once the turbo and suspension is sorted it'll be a bit of an animal.

Best offer your services to M GbmH then...who knew they've been wasting their time all these years on chassis/drivetrain development.

Not my services, all I did was hand over my cash to the recommended people...

It's got similar power and noticeably more torque and I doubt M GbmH would let a car out of the factory sounding like mine.

Like I said, once the turbo is done and it's had the suspension work it's booked in for after Christmas, no M4 is keeping up. It won't be as comfortable or as quiet as the laid back M4, but it's not meant as a daily.

Love them, have had a BMW in my life for 7 straight years now!

Current company car - 330e M Sport

New company car BMW 330e Oct 2020 by AlexHull4, on Flickr

And my M3 - now owned over 4 years, longest I’ve kept any car (speaks volumes).

Great to see the BMW love although they really are everywhere these days?!
