First time poster, long time lurker.
My 430d. First time I have had a diesel. Had to bite the bullet as the E46 convertible was on her last legs.
Car wash lady has made it nice a shiny. I think it’s carbon black but strange how you can see blue under lights etc.
Carbon black has a dark blue hue in direct sunlight perfectly normal. My 430d. First time I have had a diesel. Had to bite the bullet as the E46 convertible was on her last legs.

My E46 320d. Pensioner owned from new, 220k on the clock, FSH all dealer and specialist done twice a year from new, never smoked in and religiously looked after. Garaged so next to no rust, wings are spotless and I only gave £600 for it. I bought it from the second owner who was the specialist that worked on it for years, he also had a ridiculously nice E30 325i. A lot of my mates run E46's and none of them can believe how clean it is, especially for the money. I bought it as a shed to run for a few months then scrap as I do every winter, instead I plan on just keeping it and keeping it religiously maintained. Just passed an MOT at the local BMW specialist, I'll be having it serviced there in Feb when it's due. It does 100-150 miles to £20 of diesel too, by far the best E46 I've ever run. Just wish it was an SE so I could have cruise control on a long run, doesn't really bother me though.

For cruise control you just need a steering wheel with cruise buttons and a wiring loom.Instructions are here: https://bmw.etk.club/eba_docs/284en.pdf
Loom is here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174797356108
And no coding (allegedly)!

I used to work at the Park Lane hotel when they were new and remember seeing a dark blue example pull up one evening. (Li version possibly?) It just looked so cool and the soft interior glow from the lighting was pure class. They were pretty special.Gassing Station | BMW General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
