Deffo wouuld not advise chip mapping an auto,Ive seen a few auto's go wrong even in standard form!

The intake manifolds can fail under pressure aswell...

One person posted here about the autobix being weak if wanting to remap -- well the e90 231bhp 330d auto is the exact same auto as in the 335d so it us infact far safer to remap an auto than a manual in this instance.

I had a quick read about evolve remaps and they offer 3 states of tune economy performance and race. Race is 306bhp performance is 280bhp and economy 250bhp. I read that with the race remap they took a 330d auto from London to the lakes at m way speeds and found brim to brim it returned 58.8mpg and I thi k combined it returns 8 mpg higher than the STD car which on the auto is quoted as 42mpg.

Honestly I'm tempted more economy driving it like for like with more power I think they push torque up from 369ft lbf to 500ft lbf which I'd imagine is useless in the snow but in the dry is going to hussle likewise the 306bhp is going to help you out at the top end. However what about reliability?
