E-Map remap..........big thumbs up for Simon!

Hi all

Just had my E46 330d M Sport Coupe re-mapped today and despite the fact that it was p*ssing it down when I left work - all I can saw is wow! - I can see why many people have had these done - just wish I had done it earlier!

What a difference - it was no slouch before but the difference is very noticeable with a bucket load of extra torque in the mid range......have yet to give it a proper run due to the weather, but early indications are pretty good!

I searched quite a bit through the various BMW forums before picking E-Maps due to their reputation, recommendations and value for money and I wasn't dissappointed. Simon was very knowledgable and accomodating with me having to move the appointment, turned up at work, did his stuff, which included a full diagnostic report (found I have 2 glow plugs not working and my heated mirror is permanently on!....)and then had a test drive - uploading the re-map half way through the drive to show the difference.

Excellent service and a thouroughly nice guy to deal with......anyone thinking of doing the same, you wont be dissappointed. Just looking forward to a bit of decent to weather to test it out properly.

I'll second that...

I had my 730d sport done by Simon last year, and it transformed the car into a proper power house (for a turbo disel barge!)

I have no hesitation in unreservedly recomending E-maps.

Thumbs up from me too, he remapped my E39 M5 last week, the difference in throttle response and general sharpness is marked, pulls a lot harder especially at the top.

Glad to see he's still going, he did my e36 in 2005 and was impressed with him back then.

For those getting automatic diesels remapped with the GM box, just watch your torque converter get shredd to pieces

But he doesn't do the 335i :-( , so if anyone has some recommendations let me know.

yep, E-Maps did my X6 35d a month or so back after DMS let me down, 1/3 of DMS's price as well and car drives sooo much better now, will be getting the wife's 1 series done shortly
