What green laning bike?

I am looking for my first green laning bike but also want it for on the road just wondering if anyone has any advice on what to get, iv had motocross bikes in the past but looking for something like ktm exc 450 ? If anyone could reccomend anything would be a big help cheers

Try looking at some more trail specific bikes rather than full on enduro bikes. For example Beta Alp, Kawasaki KLX 250, Gas Gas Pampera, Gas Gas Randonne, Ossa Explorer. These will be lighter, more maneoverable and quiter (important to keep NIMBYs happy) than 'proper' enduro bikes.

It was reviewed in one of this/last months magazines and they really rated it. Definitely on my list when if I can some how work out how it is 4k better than my current KTM525.

Yeah the exc is exacly what i was looking for maybe a 350/400/450 as i thought this would also be ideal for road also and even have the option of swoping wheels for road tyres? i wont be doing a great deal of green laning but just want a enduro so i have the option

Not sure what your lanes are like but if they're anything like ours you want something light and if you are a beginner nothing too powerful I would avoid the 2 strokes, I currently use a crf 250x and a xr250 that is a very good bike to start with but both bikes have a high seat so depends on what height you are.
