latest from S1krruk forum:

Re: S1k Recall - Official!
Spoke to my dealer at the weekend and they have almost enough to do a couple of bikes, the only thing they are missing now are the gaskets. I asked if it was an engine out job and they said that BMW had only given them 4 hours for the work so they will tilt the engine in the frame to get to the Conrod bolts. Hopefully it wouldn't be much longer.

The last I heard they were calling customers bikes in from 3rd week in June onwards.

From BMW USA facebook profile:

"BMW has issued a delivery hold and is recalling 1,414 2012 model year BMW S1000 RR motorcycles to inspect and correct a potential problem with loosening of the connecting rod bolts.
Wonder if this has bit them on the butt with the 2020 also:

" Summary: connecting rods torn off and torn a hole in the engine. BMW is now changing the engine."
