Thanks. I've just ordered a helmet from J&S and they price matched at £160. It's £140 on that site so fingers crossed they price match that before I purchase.

Well this thread is going to cost me, superduke GT...yeah why not?!
Well turns out that the why not is because I can't get any bloody insurance unless I care to pay well north of 2k a year for the privilege, even with secure storage. Arse.

As someone looking to buy a KTM superduke I’m glad I read this thread because up until yesterday I had no idea!

Are these discounts only available at certain times of the year?
I doubt you'll see too much off this year as they are current models. Best to ring around a few dealers and see if any want to do a deal. Just because one dealer has one cheap doesn't mean the others will pricematch it. AMS in Tewkesbury have an unregistered 2016 model for £11500 at the moment.

Anyone actually buying one? Wanna take a look at one my only fear is the size...im over 6ft and they look small

Also it says 'The bike has been completely updated'....So does that mean its been tampered with in some way to make it look like the current model?

They aren't massive bikes! From the pictures they are the current 2017 model with the new headlight etc so has been "completely updated" over the outgoing 2016 model.

Ok tks so basically all original just last remaining stock so to speak.

I'll take a look at one this coming weekend to see if its a good fit but they do look a little cramped for me

Yep, last stock, but it had a new digital dash and LED headlight for the 2017 year.

My wife will thank you.....................Oh hang on, no, she'll want you balls in a jar!! ! laugh

(I just could not resist! Orange, withtTouring pack, and Akra can, the Akra can is bloody pricey through, I've raced whole bikes that cost less!)

But it really is a lot of bike for the money, that.

Pick it up before Xmas. She is going to be really pissed with me!! laugh
Cant wait to do trackday on it with the panniers fitted.

I haven't got the money I truth, chopping in my Tiger 1050 for it, (which I am a bit gutted about as it is a great bike and I only got it this year for the TT), but whilst I do love the Triumph, I do love twins! The Triumph (and a Speed Triple race bike I have), is / are the only non twin road / race bikes I own, (TLR, Mille,SP2. TRX, RS250, 999,) and had no plans to change it as it is a fabulous bike and spot on for my and my daughter to bomb about on. But the lure of a proper "digital" motorbike, but withthe Superduke motor being absolutely "batst", paniers, heated seats, grips, cruise, all the Modes etc, just was too strong.
I joked as I left that I hoped in 3 years i could sell it back to them for more than I paid for it! Realistically, compared to the competition, I reckon it wont lose much over 3 years..? Got to be worth 8k to 9k if kept tidy?

They had an RC8R in there, nice and with a nice Akra, but it was up at £10500! I remember them being offered for £9k on a similar offer about 4 years ago! I should have bought one, I know!

Enjoy the GT . I got a new one in JUly. They’re proper mental. I put Michelin RS on mine and it’s changed the grip no end. I’ll be putting the power Michelin’s on for touring. I did brands Indy on mine in September and managed a 52.3 lap. Not too shabby.

Ah, congrats on the GT! I was all ready to order one then did an insurance quote and it came back at over £1000! So that put a halt to that one...

Yes, its not too bad for me, c.270 quid, mind you the Triumph isn't much less. I think, sadly, the Tigers have been hit with a few being nicked in that there Londun, as are quite popular commuter.
