Just saw it was announced they have exclusive rights to show MotoGP from 2014 with a 5 year deal.

Shame another series has gone to the paywall in the UK.

This was part of a thread on here recently.

So is that an absolute definite now?

So have they just got live transmission rights with absolutely NO cover on any other channels-even recorded?

£15 a month if you're not a BT customer.

Ridiculous.

Just seen this on Twitter. I hope Eurosport continue to show the races even if they aren't live.

See bottom of link - https://www.register.btsport.com/

Having been used to (IMO) the two best sport presenters in the business (Toby and Jules + Mr Spalding) next year we'll have to switch on and listen to a horse jumping lesbian pretending she knows what the hell is going on!

We can thank this gentleman for the pleasure...

If someone knows Mr greens email, start sending in the messages of disgust - Bad enough having Gobby Cox and Stavros as alternatives, now we are face with a single ste offering!

Sky F1 is absolutely AMAZING, if BTSport do the same with MotoGP & it costs less than 1 night at the cinema, where's the catch?

I agree, I'm a broadband customer and supposedly that means I get it for free too. Think of all the build-up programmes and in-depth analysis post-race, they won't be forced to cram it all into a 90 minute slot.

Clearly you've never seen the Eurosport coverage then!

Yet their viewing figures are a fraction of BBC F1's....

BT Sport will have even less of a market share. Moto GP will be even more of a minority sport here because of this. Chances of producing British talent gets smaller too.

Personally, SKY F1 is boring. Moto GP does not need 3 hours of talking heads.

It's not compulsory to watch it all, but the fact they do means they have all bases covered for everyone.

I have.
I think you should calm down until the full line-up of presenters has been announced.

Not with you on that. MotoGP weekend on Eurosport has coverage for hours on end, on both practice, qualifying and race day (thank god for sky+). Problem with F1 is the coverage depth is limited due to only single race format + technology. With MotoGP you have 3 races (of course that means 3 grids worth of pracitice + Quali). Each class has different engine config / tech / rules and even within the top class various engine config. The depth of the subject matter is greater than F1 so the presenters have no trouble filling 3 / 4 / 5 + hours of air and do it brilliantly...

How does one get bt sport or whatever? Is it on cable only, bt vision, or is it on digital terretail or sky channels?
I am a by customer, and have but broadband, but where I like it is only 1 meg, so no chance of watching it over the net. Plus we cannot get any cable here, only Sky.
