Well, this is one house that'll be lost from the viewing figures as I refuse to give BT any of my hard earned money after being screwed by their incompetence in the past.

Moreover, I begrudge paying for any TV services on top of the TV license. I'm not paying for a service that'll get used for a couple of hours twice a month.

Looks like I'll be off to find a download link to watch the races.

How does one get bt sport or whatever? Is it on cable only, bt vision, or is it on digital terretail or sky channels?
I am a by customer, and have but broadband, but where I like it is only 1 meg, so no chance of watching it over the net. Plus we cannot get any cable here, only Sky.
As I understand it:
You should get the channel free on sky as a BT broadband customer.

Clearly you've never seen the Eurosport coverage then!

"the two best sport presenters in the business (Toby and Jules + Mr Spalding)"

Dont care where it is - just make these guys part of the package...
I have.
I think you should calm down until the full line-up of presenters has been announced.
lol - keep calm!

Presenters are confirmed as Jake Humphrey and Claire Balding

Ok - now panic!
There are three yet to be announced slots.

Now calm down ffs rolleyes
Y2blade boy - check youre sources, it's been in the public domain for a while...

I won't be subscribing.

I got SKY when the F1 went to it, but purely because I was debating getting SKY anyway, it just tipped the scale. BT has nothing else I want so the fee would be purely to watch MotoGP live, and I can't/won't justify that.

£150 a year to sit indoors on the sofa and watch 18 bike race meetings on the telly (assuming I'm not out and miss any) or £140 for a full season pass for both Snetterton and Cadwell. I've made my decision...

byebye bye bye MotoGP, BSB's better anyway smile

I was looking for Fibre Optic broadband a few months ago, BT Infinity has a free YouView box with the BT channel as part of the package http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/tv/...

Not seeing things because they are on Sky was bad enough, now it's not seeing things on BT too. How many people get BT TV anyway?

Has it been confirmed that Eurosport have lost the rights as they don't have the rights for "live" GP class at the moment. I am delighted that BBC will be in their last year as their coverage has been dreadful. Matt and Azi have built up a great rapport with a few of the riders that I will miss but I can't remember the last time BBC showed a podium and they delayed HD viewing for years. As it has been said earlier in the thread, it will be free to BT customers so that's a result for their millions of customers and a nice added benefit to try and keep customers. It will be very sad if Eurosport have lost all screening rights but I always opt for watching the race live. There will no doubt be extra in-depth shows that will keep the anoraks like myself happy as pigs in poo. Good news in my book smile

"BT customers with the Sky Digital Satellite Platform

Just add BT Sport to the Sky Digital Satellite Platform for FREE.

This will start a new 12-month contract of your current BT Broadband package.

You will need your account number to place the order. Find this on your latest bill or by logging in to My BT.

Once BT Sport channels launch on 1st August, you'll automatically have access to both the app and online player. Simply download the app from your app store or visit btsport.com to watch online."

Could it be this simple? I have BT broadband and SKY but I've a feeling there must be a catch somewhere...

F*** me and they reckon that Jake Humphrey's worth £250,000 a year.

I'd bet that the Moody & Ryder show would do it for that between them ! (+ expenses of course wink )

..and rumours on Twotter suggest that Matt Roberts might feature too. (same agent as Crutchlow-who happens to be a rider representative at the launch announcement !)

p.s. and I presume the lust-less Claire Bald ring is on similar package too...!

MotorsTV has been shunted to c447 and 2 BT Sport channels have moved down to 413 and 414 (they were 447 & 8 earlier?) 445 and 446 are BT Sport HD.

Seems like simple highest-bidder-stuff to me. Maybe, Dorna grabbing what it can before Euro/Spain tank..? Suspect viewing figures to dive, and, eventually, adverts to appear every 20mins. Don't worry, if you don't get Sky then MotoGP.com will let you watch for just €100 per season! (I currently pay £36 for two complete British Eurosport channels online...granted, main race not live - boo)
What the euro or the state of the Spanish economy has to do with UK tv rights, I don’t know.

And I don’t imagine there will be any more adverts then there are currently with eurosport.

I hope they set up the dream team...contact with the riders that Matt and Azi have but with the quality commentary of Toby/Jules/Spalders

If it's not part of the Sky Sports Package (Sky Sports/Eurosports etc..) it will just be another Setanta Sports, football couldn't save Setanta so a less followed sport like MotoGP is hardly going to register viewers. £1billion for the rights? Expect BT bills to be going up to make up the shortfall.

Cynical perhaps, but BT have shareholders to please and profit forecasts to hit.

Sky F1 is absolutely AMAZING, if BTSport do the same with MotoGP & it costs less than 1 night at the cinema, where's the catch?
The catch is most of us don't give a st about whatever "extras" there allegedly are, and don't want to shell out lots of cash for marginal gains.

Personally I just wanted to watch it the bloody racing, I'm not fking interested about big red buttons, camera angles and pointless segments about what rider's motorhomes look like.

I sure as st won't be paying for some new tossbags and camera angles.

I don't watch Moto GP on the BBC or F1. Eurosport for Moto GP and I know they don't do it live but if it's on there a hour after I can live with that.

Re F1 i'm a sad git and like to watch most of the practice Etc.. Since F1 when to Sky I never watched it again on BBC. I had Sky HD movies already so got the F1 HD added for nothing. I don't intend to pay for it when they/If they say you have to pay for it in the future.

So as long as I can watch Moto GP but not live then i'm happy with that. if EuroSport don't show it then I will aquire the race elsewhere

Look on the very bright side, we might get rid of bungling Burnicle and misses everything Whitham on Eurosports BSB/WSBK coverage now.

Or tuning the satellite receiver into ORF+ Sports or any other free to air European channel that carries MotoGP.
