Test riding new London commuter bikes tomorrow..

- Yamaha MT-07 - Test ride @ 09:00
- Kawasaki ER6-N - Test ride @ 12:30
- Suzuki SFV650 Gladius - Test ride sometime in the afternoon..

I will buy one of them on Sunday! So its all sorted before I head off to the States next week. Unless something naughty happens and I end up with a second hand Z1000/Tuono/CB1300 instead..
NC750s not in the shortlist? I would be interested to hear how that comparison turns out. Going by journo hype, the Yamaha will trounce the others but I'm not so sure. I'm saying Gladius as the outside bet. Lots of good sub-5k deals around on the older bikes in your list.
I'm quite fickle and the looks of the NC750s do nothing for me.. Due to 14 litre tank and 207 mile range, the Yamaha is winning for me on paper and its fantastic value at £5195. I'll post up again my findings tomorrow.. The Kwak and Suzuki are at the same dealership and the Yamaha is at a different place.

I really like looks of Honda's new 2014 CBF650 also but not being released until NEC bike show I believe and no prices available till after Easter.

Looking forward to a bikey weekend!

Out tomorrow morning and back on Sunday afternoon. Just one night away. Going to be a 600-700 mile weekend. Can't wait.

Yee haw! A quick weekend blast to blow off the cobwebs. Sun and weather looks good too smile

Good luck for the trip. Looks like the weather will be good too.

For me - getting new tyres fitted to GSXR early tomorrow, then a non-bikey crammed weekend of Mother's day, housey and kids commitments.

I learnt on a Gladius its a nice and comfortable, rode it all day and could still ride some more. The fellas at the school said the tyre wear was quite heavy with them.

Cheers Pete, fingers crossed it will stay dry and the warm front cutting across will be welcomed gladly!

Yep, easiest way and bit of a bargain really at just £35 return. Planning to do this a bit more regularly in 2014.

Thanks for the input, not sure if tyre wear will be much of an issue on a slow 20 mile commute through heavy London traffic?

Saturday looking to put a couple hundred miles on the bike since the weather is going to be good.
Nice bimble around Sunday morning before giving the bike a good clean.

God I hate scooters!! I haven't been on one since my 16 year old CBT back in 2003 for 1 day.. my first bike was a manual 50cc mx style bike.

Not sure. I wanted to get a test ride in after my bike/me/gravity issue. But looks like I'll be driving to Calais and back in a Senic on Saturday and seeing the Mrs' (well, our) friend on Sunday. frown
