It's coming back from repair next week, so if I'm convinced they've totally sorted it, I'll sell it onIf I'm not convinced, I'll break it for parts and sell it that way
There's lot of that model ZX10R's for sale at the mo, so they're not fetching good money or anything like what it owes me.
I might hang onto it for the summer and see how I get on with the new one anyway and then make my mind up about keeping it as a spare or not

I almost don't have the heart to tell you that the 2016 gearbox is very similar to the earlier model. They aren't identical but they are interchangeable, so quite closely related. I suspect your previous issues were setup related somehow

It had a full rebuild not that long ago, and that lasted 1/2 a Trackday and a test day before s
tting itself yet againI'd reached the end of my tether with that bike, and when this came up (it's a mates bike), it was too good to pass up on and just happened to be at a point where I was ready to torch the last bike and throw it in the bin

Took my new bike out for its maiden voyage today at a patchy wet/dry Silverstone
Largely very happy with it, although the 16yr model doesn't feel overly different to my old 2014 bike, which is no bad thing
Needs a couple of little tweaks:
Ohlins road steering damper is next to useless and it shakes its head everywhere, so I'll get that revalved this week
Brakes are crap, but I have a Brembo m/c to fit
The throttle is very jerky from trailing into a corner to gently rolling on and it comes in with a bit of a thud unsettling the bike - hopefully I can fix that with the quick action throttle I have for it, as it's certainly not much fun as is
If the qa throttle doesn't sort it, it's booked into the dyno next week for a mate to cast his eye over the maps, so I'll get him on it
Downshift blipper is really cool, although I do kinda like using the clutch, so might take a bit of time to get used to
Generally, I'm really happy with it

spooky, just booked the Oulton dates, toying with the Anglesey double but thats the weekend dates for the bsb at knockhill and i do enjoy that immensely.
I'll get on Oulton then and say hello... enjoyed my first time there, but couldn't really link it all together properly due to conditions so want another go... I'm booked there is July anyway.Anglesey I'm on the fence ATM.
